When I read what that Twit  Barbarouses (sp?) say what he did last night  , I was livid. For a player to come out and say essentially that they hadn't been trying under a previous coach just beggars belief. It makes a mockery of what us as fans try to do by supporting them . I've missed chemo sessions , missed radiotherapy sessions so I could get to games. I , amongst many others  , have bloody well tried hard to support you . To be beaten by a better team is one thing ( although that's debatable with the Jets and CCM- yes , I know we didn't lose). But to admit to a lack of effort? And you come out and crap  all over us after a game where you should have won .

You can shove my season's pass up your arse.

I'm done.

Hope you're feeling better mate; not good to hear.

I'd say that Kosta just misspoke - it's a normal thing for football players to say after a bounce back post coach changeover. I think it just came out the wrong way.

Lets be honest; footballers aren't usually the brightest (they aren't all Timmy Brown)

I have to say that before that game I was all for Greenpeace and Buckingham to continue for the rest of the season, but that was so much of the same old carp again as under Ernie, that I've changed my opinion.

I made a couple of comments earlier on that said as much - there is nothing wrong with Greenie and Buckingham if all we want to do is continue like before and save Ernie's wages. On paper we have a squad good enough to be maybe sixth; but if we keep playing like we do now then we'll end up eighth at best. If previously we had limited skills but plenty of heart, now I see the opposite on the pitch, with half of the season gone.

But I do not want the club to set its sights as low as the eighth or even the sixth.  I would like to see a challenge for the top four, even if they may in the end settle for the sixth, if that makes sense. That is why I ultimately prefer a new coach that can drive this team a bit harder than Des and Greenie seemingly can.  I am almost past caring if it is Ramon or Rudan as long as it is not "more of the same".

I don't know why people had such high expectations we would beat Newcastle away from home on a very hot evening. I think a point is a good effort. I expect us to beat CCM/Adelaide/Newcastle at home, away from home I would usually take a draw.

Because other teams do.

At the end of the day I was also kind-of-happy with the draw because we could have just as easily lost that game. But if we need to expect an away draw to CCM or the Jets or (this season) Adelaide, then this confirms that we are happy with finishing 7-8 this season, despite having overall a good squad (better in the front third than the back third IMHO).

Would a different coach than the 'Greeningham' combo give us a chance for a better finish? I do not know, and apart from a couple of potential names banded about here, none of us would know.  The coaching decision will reflect the club's philosophy over the remaining course of the first four years of the current license.

With a draw you can't win.

Most of where happy with the draw because the Jets where shark in front of the goal. We could have been 2-3 down after 30 minutes and somehow made through the first half. We constantly lost the ball, all second balls and tackles. The second half coaches fixed things and played a bit better, even then we could not hold the lead. I think this is disappointing, we are going nowhere. When do think we start winning? But yes you may right, with 2 wins, 3 draw and 6 lost you may should not expect more, but why watching then at all?

What happens when we loose against Adelaide on Sunday?

Stands for "Despotic Lucipher", the kind of coach we really need: despotic, has some dark powers, but also brings light to the masses.
