I think I gave up on the warriors for that very reason! Looking at their talent compared to the Nix's though, and they are underachieving more.

Adelaide with a big win over City makes tomorrow's game even more of a must-win. That result only puts both United and CCM 2 points behind us, we don't want to be in a race to avoid the wooden spoon this season. If we can start to find some winning form, this could also narrow the gap between us and Top 4. I'm down from Auckland for both the CCM and Victory games. 2-1 for the Nix in front of a drunken but small crowd tomorrow is my prediction.

I agree, but the argument against it is that the HAL in particular isn't of the same standard to the EPL which even if your side is in a relegation battle each year at least it's at a high standard. As for the warriors, no such excuses, but the failure to appoint a decent coach has always annoyed me. I suppose given the last decent one was ex warriors maybe Kearney is at least worthy of being given a go.

If you want to compare like for like then Gosford population 180k, Wellington population 204k, Newcastle 288k.
Can't wait for this. We only managed to get to 2 games in the first half of the season, so looking forward to these next 3 to get some use out of the memberships! Made it to the first 2 home games, then had to miss the next one with something else on that night, and couldn't justify the expense of the Hamilton and Auckland trips having already been to Auckland for Coldplay the weekend before and then going away over the Xmas time. Then missed the last home game as we were still away. So feels like a long time since we last went!
having attended every wellington-based game since day 1, I must admit to be thinking that if they don't put on a decent show and beat CCM then its throw-the-towel-in-day. Will probably keep on going but recent games have left me feeling seriously underwhelmed with the whole thing

When you look at the times and days and when other events are also on, our crowds reflect it. Eg: Bathurst at 7pm on a Sunday night. Bathurst would have cost us some fans, 7pm on Sunday night would definitely cost us a lot of fans with school the next morning etc.

Same, well I don't live in NZ but 'with nowhere else to go' I'll be listening to the game. I've always been keen on the Phoenix but this season that's picking up a gear, again.
The last time I was in this gear was a few years ago. We were in the play-offs, Ifill was brilliant, my local NSW pub was watching with interest, we won 3-1, with an import sealing the win, and another week in the finals.
Everyone would miss those days, ay?
