Newcastle doing very well pressuring us; and our lack of confidence is allowing them to do it more effectively.

Hate to be a negative nancy but if we can't turn around this result I can't see us finishing in a play-off spot.

I'm trying to think of four teams that we can finish above/are better than and after Central Coast, Perth, and possibly Newcastle, the other teams in the league will be difficult to leap-frog, especially if we don't get a point or three from this game. I don't see us catching Adelaide being so inconsistent.

That's just realistic, unfortunately. Without Krishna we are toothless.

It's a real shame that Sarpong turned out to be not much of a player; if he was anywhere near as good as Burns this season would've likely started different.

Can any one see this lineup scoring 3 goals?  I certainly can't.

Quite pathetic when Carney can break your defensive line

It's tough to be too harsh on our defence considering their lack of experience but Carney speeding through your line is a horrid thing to see

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiit.

Still 62 minutes to turn it around.

I don't think it's defeatist to say that the season is pretty much a write-off, barring a miraculous signing of a very good striker. We can't score goals and we can't stop conceding goals due to poor defending. Personally the way things go from here doesn't much bother me. What matters is getting a 10 year license and ensuring the long term future of the club. Maybe then I'll start to get fired up about the Nix and the A League again.

This is embarrassing to be losing to the Jets, they are shocking,  problem is we are worse today

For a team that supposedly prides itself on a passing game, this is terrible. Passing to a team mate who is already closely marked is just plain dumb

Nope.  Nothing will change there.

Commentators saying Roly was quoted saying he would like to play in a bigger league for a bigger club.  Can't blame him when he gets fouled to shark because he's talented, and refs and the league let it happen.

So we are supposed to pull a big marquee as a metric? So they can come here and get kicked to fudges?

Roly gets fouled because he always turns into traffic. The referees correctly give the foul. We just haven't changed the way Roly plays to combat what other teams are doing.

Fox is promising but very naive.

True, though you can't deny he isn't also targetted.

Does remind me of, say, Jack Wilshere.

Jets are playing good I think..width and pace and through balls that aren't short little passes.  Great crosses and corners so pressure being created.  We on the other hand...our style is very predictable.

We should be 4 down

McGlinchey outmuscled by Hoffman,...sums this game up.

That deserved a goal from Powell

What's frustrating is that even though we're 2-0 down the lads look rather indifferent. Would love for a hairdryer treatment at half time.

sums his game up most times...I think we lose a bit when he is playing these days except at free kicks.

Still 45 minutes to go.  Oodles of time.

Powell showed enough to suggest he's a centre forward, but also perhaps the front three or not on the same wavelength

I actually like what i have seen from Powell in the last two games - works hard, is strong on the ball and makes some decent runs.

He is not Burns but he in my opinion is a decent striker at this level.

It's not like we are laying chances on a plate for him - that's our biggest problem, we play infront of them and push them back onto the edge of their box and then we try and slide a pass through when there is no space.

We need to play with the ball more between halfway and 10 meters outside their box and, less sideways passes - let the defence work back and forward and we will get a lazy defender and then we pounce with a ball through.

The other thing is we can't fall into the trap of passing it to Gulley and then giving him no options than back to fox who is under pressure - that's what they want us to do.
