why was carlos taken off?

Saw him limping after the game so suspect he had a slight niggle, and best not to push it when you're 3-0 up.

Limping? Sure that wasn't Cunningham/Ifill - the one on crutches at half time?

Pretty sure it was Hernandez. Heard he had an icepack on his hammy after getting subbed off as well. Could be wrong though.

Jeremy Brockie has now taken Boyd's super sub position. Great finish and the cross to Hysugems was superb.

Was just great, checked the stats, they had on shot on Goal! Haha! We totally trashed them. Atmo in ROF was fantastic! Next Roar!

I am pleased I miss the TV commentary because I'm at the ground, but I always listen to the radio commentary whether at the ground or when turning the TV sound down.

Still buzzing after that win. Massive. My MOTM - Ernie.. Brilliant coaching. Full marks to the Nix for hiring him, including cat-hating, North-Korean-living  Gareth.

He looked super pissed off getting subbed. That tells me he probably wasn't injured. If you're injured you come off and that's it, you don't try argue with the coach about it. Will be interested to know more on this.

absolutely awesome feeling to walk home and have people asking for the score.

Tonight  I had to repeat myself as most were in disbelief when I said we won 5-0.

Surely if he came off that soon after halftime he'd been told it was probably coming?
That's assuming it wasn't an injury, which I still think it might have been.

Only buggar for me was i wish they would have shut the FKN music off at the end of the game and let the zone do the singing.

Im one of the few who would have loved Ring of Fire to have been taken up by us.BUT at the beginning of the game after a result like that shut the FKN music  UP.

Brilliant game.  Brilliant YF.  Crowd picked up on the chants a lot more this week, great atmos.

Kenny's goal outrageous, Carlos and Brockie confidence boosters and I thought it was good to see Brockies team mates genuinely happy with him getting his goal - obviously great team spirit.

Ernie 10/10.  Who's worried about the high line now?  In Ernie we trust.

Agree with general comments re Boxall and Riera.  Riera another great game and Boxall stepped it up a long way.  But a great performance accross the park and in the stands.

On the back of this can we beat the Roar and can we get the crowd up to 10k when everyone is back from holiday?

And thought the ref was good, though we probably got an easy peno.

They're getting there... At least is was Ring of Fire and not some auto-tuned-poppy-drum-and-bass-with-no-drum-shit.
Slowly learning, hopefully we by the end of the season they will remember how they did it in 2008...

I thought we sat deeper in the first half - allowed us to get back for Kosta's dangerous runs.

Second half did seem to be higher.

Thinking about it a bit more, Siggy, Durante, Muscat (and Boxall, though i mentioned him earlier) probably deserve a bit more praise than they might be getting. Sigmund especially, was very very solid. Great performance.

Phoenix are a fun team to support. Solid individuals on this squad, pull for one another, appreciate the supporters, genuinely seem to enjoy the opportunity that they have to play the game professionally. Love it.

Slightly intoxicated, but on an absolute high after this one, and so happy for the players/fans. This one was well deserved. Enjoy it, and focus on smashing the Roar.

Gee, I'm sure Ricki was coach when we beat Gold Coast 6-0. Short memories, or just easy pickings?

Yeah but you really do have to wonder, from memory  since season one it was asked that there be no music at the start of the game the zone would fire it up but still we get it at the start. Then after a result like that they drown the fans out with more bloody music.Bet if you asked the players they would rather hear the fans than music over the speakers.

My recollection was watching our back four on the half way line for significant chunks of the first half.  And only three of them fairly often, with one FB bombing forward.

First game this year that i've managed to drag the GF too. She loved the atmosphere, only complaint was that she wanted zero piped in music, and would prefer that all atmosphere come from the Yellow Fever and the other fans. She's a keeper, obviously.

Big ups to the two blondes in aisle 16 who at full time lifted their skirts to reveal very small fluoro G Strings and pointed the moon at Muscat

This, at one stage in the second half Kosta went on a run  which looked dangerous and it was siggy who tracked him back .He cops some shit at times but i would much rather his heart than some others.
