Nice day here - getting better by the hour - sadly town not fired up for Phoenix yet - 5 goals from 7 home games won't have them rolling up in droves tonight. Hopefully tonight they get it right. Have great faith in Ernie to get best out of players, so we'll see what he comes up with. Sounds like Boyd may get a starting run.

Stop moaning about crown noise nufc_nz. By using 'they' you are implying you don't join in and are not a part of the zone. If you aren't part of the zone then you have no right to criticize. Yup it was quiet, but equally it was 7pm on a Sunday night and we haven't exactly had much to celebrate in there for a while. 

Really pisses me off all these people blaming the 'zone'. Agreed it is quiet from time to time, but instead of moaning like a bunch of old ladies get up and do something about it. If you aren't in the zone, then get in it and sign. If you are in the zone and you are moaning, then maybe sign a bit more. Take some personal responsiblity ffs. 

This will be a tough game for sure. To our advantage will be that Victory have come off a tough game midweek. We need to take the game to them right from the start....have them chase and cover and think about combating our game. Which means IMO that Boyd should start. Get him making runs wide and darting around the back, Brockie is way too static IMO.....it will force the Victory defenders to turn and chase. They will be tired  so hit them straight from kickoff. If we go into our shell their passing game will carve us up.

I expect them to score at least twice.....they have the quality. We will create chances too, so it is up to us to put them away. I am picking a 2-2 draw. We can get a result provided we get our tactics right, defend properly, Carlos pulls his finger out, our goal scoring chances are taken and we can get some width in our attacks.

I hope Ernie is joking when he says we will persist with a high defensive line. We are just way too slow at the back to play this sort of tactic. Costa, Archie, Finkler and Troisi will tear us a new one if we get it wrong.....This is a real test of Ernies version of the Nix. Win this and we can start thinking maybe we really are playoff material..
