Last time we played Melbourne City was away back 9-Nov-18 and was a 0-2 lost. Then was our "home" game at QBE which was Greenie last game in charge which we won 2-1.

Last time we actually played City at Westpac was back 18th Feb 2017. I think Patrick and Dave may remember that game... Think it was a 1-5 loss.

Apologies.  I know this has been published before, but to avoid the pain of going through many previous threads, can someone remind me what the members discount code is for tickets? A mate at work is bringing a party of 10 to the Melbourne City match. Visitors from the South Island West Coast who are thrilled with what they have seen on TV of the Phoenix lately and are taking the opportunity while up here on holiday to come to a live game at the Westpac.

Absolutely. The wind is due to get stronger which is annoying as hell, but as long as its sunny, hopefully the crowds won't be turned off. Managing to bring my colleague along again and both bringing our partners. Hopefully plenty others like that! Buzzing for this already

I hope the Nix adjust better to the wind today.

At a meeting at work people were asking if the run was still going and talking about the team
Never happened before.

Pretty big game today, against the only top 4 team we have a realistic chance of overtaking, last proper home game for two months, and three of the next four games against the top 3. The result tonight pretty much sets the stage for the second half of our season.

2-0 to Citeh.

The wheels are officially off the wagon; the good quality opposing teams have figured us out.

We'll be lucky to finish 6th.

Not entirely without foundation

Big test of Rudan’s selection and tactical nous today as well as player capability.

appreciate the well drilled in cynacism but I think if we've learned anything from this season its that Rudan is not one to stand by and let a bigger team just roll over us. He'll have the boys drilled and ready for this one.

1-1 or 2-1 to us.

I think it's pretty obvious we are currently a 5-6th placed team in terms of pure player quality and depth - not a bad place to be after last season, though, and a great springboard to go on and become better. We are just lacking game changing players like a Ninkovic; Singh is that, but he's still young and inconsistent - far too much is on his shoulders.

We aren't difficult to work out - actually, every team in the league are not that hard to figure out - basically, just aim for the spot between LCB and LWB with balls over the top as our CB's aren't quick enough to cover. I don't think that's such a big issue with Kopa there, though, and think he was very very good against Sydney. I hope he starts there again.
