Alright, we needed that because once again we have showed we certainly can't defend. Almost scored again....

Time to change formation and actually go for it!

Ditch the conservative approach and actually play some football, it happened 3 days ago. SHOW US YOU FUCKING WANT IT PHOENIX! Get up and play!

Easy in hindsight I guess, but the conservative approach to this game was a bit baffling.

The goal was from a set piece as the result of poor defending and keeping. How is that anything to do with formation or our counter attacking approach?

It's a lot to do with how we come back from 1-0 down though.

Agree with that. Expect to see Burns and Ljujic come on early in the second half for McGlinchey and Rossi.

The more I see the goal, the worse Italiano looks. He should've saved that.

Krishna having a shocker. Terrible shooting and passing. AK not any better. Bring on Burns and Ljujic.

Said it last week, for a defensive/conservative set up to work, we have to be able to defend competently, it's made even worse when our keepers are a bit dodgy as well. Nothing this season has convinced me that we are anywhere near good enough defensively to be able to rely on it as a backbone for our gameplan.

Even when we did conjure winning positions v Brisbane, Victory & City we dropped off, got sloppy and ended up dropping points or losing out altogether. The 8 points we've dropped would see us in the 6, so it's infuriating that we just keep going back to it thinking it'll sort itself out. It hasn't, and it won't - not with our current defender stocks.

Second half, bring on Ljujic on for McGlinchey (where's he been?) and Burns for Durante/Rossi (harsh but needs to happen). More intent needed, we're at home the ROF, Fire the fark up! 3 points are badly needed!

Why the f are we playing 5 at the back at home in a league where we cannot get relegated? This coach has no idea

Quite convenient that Nixie made his first appearance in awhile after we won last game. Glory hunter?

A few points:

I lasted 4 whole minutes before muting the appalling sky/pine etc commentary

Ref is way too lenient on WSW tackles, they are getting away with murder.

We should have scored first and have been woeful since they scored.

Why the hell Burns isn't there is beyond me

Just did a post, but long story short, we're inept at the art of defending. Why keep to a 5-3-2 formation that has so far ceded possession and opportunities to a side that will eventually punish us more so than what we've seen already?

Completely agree on the commentary

Durante shouldn't be playing in a back 4 imo

The problem is that he is a very mediocre goalkeeper. He makes me nervous every time the ball comes near him, even from a back pass.

If we swamped keepers with WSW we would be winning 3-0

We created more chances and had more shots in the first half ...
