Regarding the Auckland hate... I think it's fair enough that Wellington based fans hate on the owners for taking games away... But the somewhat personal anti auckland comments (and I'm talking about this forum in general not just this thread) or hating on fans from Auckland for not singing enough, etc is lame... Why hate on the people who actually turn up and watch? They are helping the club, even if they aren't in the fever zone and taking their shirts off, etc.

Although, I agree the people making the abusive Adelaide chants are losers, it's embarrassing.

Anyway, a win! Yes!

the fuk did I just read? Mind = blown.

Yeah I prob shouldn't post from my phone, when I'm drunk, it makes no sense to me either.

Well.. two wins a and a draw and big crowds across the board. Can we all agree that auckland is a necessary evil and let's try do it as best we can rather than not at all...
yeah 3 times a Westpac Stadium crowd. Step up your game Welly they are your team after all.

Sounds like some stadium shenanigans and the rest of us got to listen to dewhurst but 3 very very valuable points against a team in form and direct competition for finals football. Great result!

That's why I always turn down the center channel 5 decibels. I want to hear the crowd when I watch sport.

According to Ernie these games are 6 pointers, so by my reckoning that puts us into 5th spot just behind the Tards.

Great three points, good first half.  Thought the ref let too much crap go, second half a mess.  Busy game from Kenny, Carlos must have got tired of getting mugged and pretty much everybody else played the sort of game we've begun to expect - pretty damn solid.

Next week is huge.  The other match-ups suit us.  Could jump another three places.

18k is what, around $150k to the club, net?  That'll help.

Loved Stein's post/bar double.

Also you can't expect everyone to stand up for 90minutes, people are old, people have injuries, kids are short and wouldn't be able to see the game.

I think that ticket master should just rename the yellow fever zone for away home games to the standing section or something make it more obvious. They just want to come and watch some football it's not their fault ticketec doesn't actually explain it well.

Although tbf I don't think post count per se is a good indicator (see my sig).  And also some of the posts are in response to my trolling.

I'm from Wellington mate, went to pretty much every game between 2009 to 11 before moving up north. Sorry I don't post enough to make me a fan, all I know is when me and my mates going we would start a great "oh Wellington" followed by a "Ricky Herbert yellow army". When no one else would because their was that awkward silence when we were losing 3-0. I wasn't there from the start but like many caught the World Cup fever and have watched every game ever since either at the stadium or at home.

You would have a low post count too if we removed your posts that add no value. You have to be quite a geek to think a low post count means you can't be a real fan. I have a low post count yet I've travelled to Australia and Wellington from Auckland multiple times to watch games, guess I'm not a real fan though because I'm from Auckland and don't have several thousand posts.

Anyway nix fans shouldn't be arguing. Great game tonight, was my first chance to see the Ernie Renaissance live and we are playing so well and so much more entertaining. Cunningham had shades of Ifil with that finish. And Hernandez is back to his best, so what other Costa Ricans are available on the market...

Was just a cheeky bit of banter. But like you say 4x the population I think a more intimate venue would suit the Phoenix was really impressed by how close to the game you are compared to the cricket ground wellington never needed,

So over the fever zone bull shit. Went there people were sitting down so we moved to behind the goal like Joseph said. It wasgood for maybe 60 mins and then the idiots came down and started there shit chants. And it was the same old crap like they weren't watching the game.

Am happy that we got a good crowd and I def think we should get another game but please state that the Feverzone is standing up and also put it behind one of the goals.

Wellington you should be pretty happy how you boys have it down there and how well it has been sorted out. Because lets face it Auckland are never going to be that organized enough for it to be a good outing. Yes good crowd and good result but poor atmosphere.

Hope someone points that out to some of the clowns at radio sport as they seem to on a real downer about wellington and our crowds.

Or, in Wgtn bureaucrat speak: f*cking sh!t.
Hopefully when the next home game comes around ( 2015 I think) results and this effort by dorkland will cajole more of us to attend.

Only concern for a decent run now this season is the bench. Now Boyd's a deserved starter, it's a bit thin. I don't see anything yet to suggest Krishna will have any impact at this level. Really important Brockie fires up again. But no major complaints. This is bliss compared to last year. Be good to see Ridenton and Rufer come through, but if Ernie thinks they're not just ready yet - that's fine with me. Looking forward to next season already. We're a couple of quality players short squad-wise - but the starting eleven's a revelation from what we've had.,

He was in the pub beforehand. He was telling us that Welnix were working behind the scenes to sort crap out at NZF. When I told him that an Auckland A-League team would induce conflicted loyalties in me, he said: "That's good, isn't it?"

Yeah but would they get 18k if there was more than one game a season there? I mean, how many of those people went cos it was a one off?

Don't forget that crowd last night was about 18 times bigger than the ones that Auckland got when it had regular A League games :P

My guess would be Muscat to RB and Caira in at LB, and a straight swap of Hicks for Kenny
