It will be 7.00 pm local time.  Given the Aussie weather at the moment I reckon it will suit us.  Assuming we arrive in time to clock adjust enough

Welcome back Doloras. Although your cousin Cassandra tried to do her best to deputise while you were otherwise engaged, at least some of us here missed the real you.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

That's a fair point. From experience, jetlag gets worse with age, so it might be that our younger members of the squad will do just fine. Another good reason to rest Dura, one way or another.

Favourable ref decisions, no injuries and even the Australian weather is playing it's part this season for the Nix.

Day highs of 35-36 degrees on Thurs & Friday in WA, cooling off somewhat & even cloudy on the Saturday. Looks like sub 20 degrees by kickoff.

Gonna be a hard game, don't expect a win or points, but really hoping for them.

I'll be interested to see whether Kopa/Fox/Lowry comes in as the CB, or if Taylor shifts inside and Kopa/Fox/Lowry plays as the RCB.

Also interested to see who wears the captain's armband.  I suspect it will be either Taylor or Krishna.

Random question. If I use a vpn and access My Football on YouTube the next day, can I watch a replay of the game and is it likely they will spoil the score (eg if the score is highlighted in the title of the video)..

Serious question: is any of our players not getting into the squad on the day if Burns is selected (even for the subs bench)?  Are we leaving anyone useful at home to make space for Burns on the day?

On second thought, our game against Perth is probably not the true test of that, because with Durante missing there is an extra spot on the day anyway.  But what about later on?

At present we have such thin squad, with Nichols and Way gone, that we obviously need Burnsy even just make up the numbers.  And if anyone upfront gets injured (fingers crossed) then it would be a bit tough, although Burgess and Sheridan would step up.  But while we are all for Burns to rediscover his form, by now even the sports media are writing him off, which is not pretty.

Score isn't in the title of the videos and as long as you are the next day, they don't seem to have the short version highlights which does have the score in the title.

Title for games last night say "A-League 2018/19 Round 16 - Perth Glory v Newcastle Jets (Full Game)

Anyone tried streaming the radio from overseas? I'll be in a plane during the game and the in flight WiFi won't be good enough for streaming video.

Yes, I've streamed the ABC radio commentary a couple of times this season. Actually, surprisingly good.

Saw an article about it recently - apparently I'm not the only one who feels more comfortable when the Nix are playing away. Idk, the cloudy Westpac afternoon light doesn't instil confidence

2-1 win, Castro great as usual for them but Krishna and Williams continue scoring for fun

Me too! I'm flying to Hawaii. Good question. Im tossing up whether to try listen on the flight, or watch on ESPN+ later on in the day

Some flights have live sport on the screens but it's more likely to be EPL etc

How do we cover for Dura?

My solution for what it is worth

Taylor to middle centre back and wearing the armband

Kopa to right centre back

Fox on the bench as cover.

Given Dura's yellow on Saturday - given the fixture list - would not surprise me to see something similar from Taylor in Perth.  Dura comes back in while Taylor rests then both back in game after that

Correct, you can do that easily.  I've streamed the ABC Grandstand Radio many times in the past but not recently.

Also, in previous seasons, I would stream the local Gosford station when CCM were playing the Nix at home, as they would rebroadcast from ABC and the quality was better than ABC directly.  Might be something like that for Perth as well.

Durante and Way are out, so Elliot and Burns must be named in the eighteen, unless there is a new signing.

Transfer window closes on Thursday.

Yup I know Thai have sport24 live which I believe shows aleague games. I watched Liverpool vs City on the way back from Bangkok a few weeks ago and it was pretty decent.

Nothing as exciting as that for me I'm afraid, just meetings in London. At least I'll catch some good football. I'll see if I can stream the A-League with radio and twitter as fallback options. I'm guessing that international waters will mean that the YouTube feed will work.

And it is a complete coincidence that Burnley are playing somewhere near.... and Chris Wood is just starved for Kiwi summer... and that a guest spot for a few games would hopefully be not completely out of question?

Unfortunately works timed it badly for Burnley games, a couple of Hammers games going - shame Reid's still injured.

I expect Taylor to be able to cope quite easily as he had some  recent (if only ocasional) practice.

Looks like Ultimate A-League missed his yellow in Rnd 6 off his tally.

And one of those yellows for Singh was that completely bullshark one for supposed deliberate handball when the ball cannoned into his arm from point blank range and over the goal line for an eventually disallowed goal. Still amazes me that one.

Interesting how the referees started to treat us a bit more evenhandedly since then (pardon the pun).

They don't put the score in the title but they tend to use the end of the game as the screen grab.

So maybe cover the top left corner until the game loads.

Thanks. Absolutely hate it when I go and watch a replay and I already know the score... Takes all the fun away!

Really wot have Perth done? I don’t see any analysis that say we don’t win 5-1.  Put it in the bank Nix.  PS Forgot we have Kurto, make it 8-0.
