Haha, was in Bay J but didn't see that. Most annoying for us was the teenager next to us who wouldn't shut up about the pizza all game. "I want my pizza" "give me my pizza" "if you don't score you don't get any dinner" etc was funny the first 2 or 3 times but it went on every 30 seconds for the entire match.

Newsflash: teenagers not very funny.

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Someone left some keys to a Holden in the zone. The O'Carrolls found them, but were not going to the Bellevue and gave them to me. I took them to the Bellevue Hotel and gave them to the staff behind the Garden Bar & Bistro.

Apparently Smithy and/or Dale tweeted about this on the Yellwo Fever twitter account.

I doubt it would be Pepsi that the Fever were projectile vomiting back up though.

Absolutely no justification for doom mongering after that game. We battered them. And after falling two goals behind (one of them just bad luck) we pulled back to a draw in fairly composed fashion.

I have concerns about refereeing. I think teams know that they will get at least a half hour to kick us before the referees start to do much, and they are taking full advantage of it. Not sure much can be done, we just need to learn to live with it.

On a side note, I had a go at a bloke behind me in the zone who was biffing out homophobic rubbish ("get up you homo" etc etc). He didn't appreciate my point of view, but left anyway. I'd really like to find out who he is and pass his details on to the club. Can any one assist?

For the lols, he had a fantastic comeback when I told him that his brainless rubbish wasn't welcome in the zone. He made a wanker sign at me and said "I am ejaculating on your face." There are some underlying issues there I reckon.

Dude, the look on your face when I started the Muppet Show theme, wish I had photographed it. The ref was a muppet !!

Coops, it was brilliant to catch up with you, great view at the top of the stand. The look on the Jets  fans face when we equalised....reminded me of a few seasons back when we consistantly let in last minute equalisers or winners to the opposition.

Disappointed my muppet theme didnt get picked up on the audio when I watched the game last night when I got home.

Jeff, you were right about the game. Some have said we were crap, I think we were unfortunate. Created a lot of chances that we shohld have buried. Mannys header was a good one, that it hit Roly on the head and went in for their goal wasn't  his fault, it was unlucky.

That was a bigger croud than I was expecting. I wish every game was at the Hutt Rec. Better facilities, friendlier security, wider choice of food vendors, closer to the action, the list goes on and on. Bellevue is an excellent prematch venue. Get the big breakfast!

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

Quite generous classifying everyone as people!

Actually, on the fouls issue, I got a bit tired of some Nix players losing their rag regularly with the ref, and I don't think it helped our case at all.

I think the big thing with the Phoenix is the team culture. If you don't fit in, not much chance of you staying... (Carlos, Pav, Gao etc)

Puberty brings many changes. No, on second thought, I like your "herpes infection that speaks in the voice of God" theory better.

Interesting to hear that we still have a few bogan fans that booed the Jets player when he had a head injury and went off and a big minus to Durante who wanted the player to be removed from the pitch. I guess wee Mac was a different kettle of fish.

There was no booing about the fact he was injured. There was booing about the fact that he could have been shifted 50cm and he would have been off the field. If you think that it's unreasonable that Dura wanted to continue playing football and that we wanted to watch said football, then you are deluded.

if he had a head injury why did they make him walk around half a football field to the subs bench (after they decided to sub him) instead of taking him into the sheds that were right beside where he was sitting does not make a lot of sense

The worst was that he actually got up, saw the physio coming, and went back down - still in the field of play. He could've easily moved the 50cm then.

It was a head on head clash, by the law of physics Manny should have on the ground, too. It may was more painfull for him than for Muscats, but 90% was show.

So much this. It's not like he got knocked out cold and was lying prone on the ground. I don't doubt he was genuinely injured but that doesn't mean he wasn't also deliberately wasting time by staying in the field of play. The two aren't mutually exclusive

As annoying as it was, I would expect our players to do exactly the same thing if the shoe was on the other foot.

and its quite obvious that the positive culture and environment had no influence on that dickhead... ergo dickheads will always be dickheads regardless of environment. This leads directly to why we should not sign Joel Griffiths.
