Four Kings Fever Bus To The Hutt

The good fellows at Four Kings are providing a FREE bus to and from the Bellevue Hotel this Sunday.

Swing by Four Kings early for a meal and a drink before jumping aboard. Bus departs for the Bellevue Hotel at 3pm.

Post-game the bus departs at 8pm and will arrive back to Four Kings.

As seats are somewhat limited, those who turn up for the trip out will get first seats coming back into town.

Once you get there, join us at the Bellevue Gardens for great specials!!

3x Heinekin or 3x Steiny Classic bottled beer for $15.00

Jugs Of Lion Brown, Lion Red, Speights Gold and Old Dark, Macs Gold only all for $10.00 each.

Glasses of house wine for $6.00 each.

Please note: No alcohol can be taken over to the game at the Hutt Wreck Park, as there is a Alcohol Ban all along Woburn Rd and Bellevue Road.

The Bellevue will have a security person on to monitor this but people need to take some personal responsibility as the police will be enforcing the surrounding area rigorously.

What's going wrong compared to before the break?

Several theories:

1) They've figured us out and we need to vary our game plan

2) Players are off the boil- McG, Roly, Krishna so we're not as much of a threat through the middle and not as clinical out wide. We'll come right with a bit of luck and when we get the last bit right.

3) Jinxes

4) Lack of depth on the bench and squad

any I missed?

1) for me - but had Krishna tapped in that near post one we would have been fine.

We had that confidence for a long time that whatever happened we would score, and score and win, wherever we were in the game.

We commented on this last week and it still remains the same for me this week. The fact that McGlinchey rifled one from distance stood out.

i'm not advocating for massive changes - just a few tweaks here and there.  It's natural for teams to evolve their style as they get more and more used to it.

For me one of the things I noticed the last couple of games is the number of players around Roly when he gets the ball - and sadly I don't think he is handling it all that well - surely if he is getting 2 or 3 drawn to him in midfield he should try one touching it back so we can move the ball out of that area and exploit the space somewhere else - for me he is too often trying (and succeeding) in rolling or turning the first player but just can't beat defender #2 or #3.

It's not broken - it just needs some CRC.

One of our problems is that our wingers like Fenton are not considered a huge threat. They are giving us plenty of space to make crosses into the box and backing their defenders to clear it. What they want to prevent is giving Roly space and time down the middle. Therefore they croud that area and push us wide. There is not much we can really do to fix this. I think we should still have too much for most teams if we finish our chances though.

Roly started to make one of his bull runs through the centre of the park and then he passed it and we shot wide or something. I was shouting at him to keep going. I think he'll get his mojo back too.

A feature of our play this year has been our pressing, then our quick transition to attack in their half. Do you think this has changed at all?

So for this game, did I see somewhere that you can pick up your Nathan Burns mask at the gate and if he scores a goal we all get hell pizza???

I don't know about that but if true, I MUST have a Nathan Burns mask.

Correct. We'll also have some special masks to hand out in the Yellow Fever Zone that will get you a double pizza (worth $18.50) instead of the snack pizza that everyone else will get if he scored.

More details coming during the week.

I'd like to see Krishna dropped to the bench, WeeMac pushed into the wider role, and Roly playing further forward with Lia behind. I think that might seem a bit harsh on Krishna but I think that both WeeMac and Roly have struggled to assert themselves the last couple of games and having an extra midfielder behind them will help them. Krishna is still a great option off the bench, and gives us the option to either straight swap for WeeMac or Burns or go more attacking by bringing a midfielder off.

Yeah, we Australians dont cheat all the time. Sometimes would be an acceptable amount to chant about and very rarely but only when necessary would also pass, but not always!!!

I wonder if we are going away to Aussie we need to have a little more tact when singing chants, acting the lad etc?

I've had the sh&t kicked out of me on two occasions:

The first i was 17 and my friend legged it and I faced a guy who knew how to fight and beat the crap out of me. I would like to see him now, ahh no he was murdered in a drug deal.

The second time I was pissed and walking home from the pub and I got hit by something on the back of my head and I fell into the gutter. Then around 5 youths decided to steal my wallet and kick the shark out of me,.

Getting f&cked up by someone really changes your perspective on life.

Attacking three just having been clicking post Asian Cup break.

Louis has actually been making some decent runs in behind past few weeks, looks up to put a ball in and everyone is making the same run towards the goal, no one peeling off for the cut back. So Louis just pumps it in at goal and hopes for the best or goes inside onto his weaker left foot and the attack loses its pace and the opponents fill the box.

Anyway, I thought we'd established that the reason we'd stopped winning is that Tyler "the Chosen One" Boyd has been cruelly deprived of his rightful place by his Wicked Uncle Ernie.

That is the problem with modern ideas of morality and ethics. The idea that "anything that's not specifically illegal is fine to do". Some things are wrong even if legally permissible, like advising your clients to do things in a way which favours your personal interests, or not standing up for old ladies on the bus. Or what the Uruguyan goalkeeper did against Ghana in the 2010 WC.

Really....and lose our one striker we actually have.  He just had a bad day.  Was put clean through by roly and on other occasions beat players with pace and others missed chances.
