Couple of records could be equalled on Sunday. Consecutive defeats (5 games) and winless streak (10 games).

Riera back from suspension. Lia and Sigmund still under injury cloud I presume.

My 0 from 10 away games record could be extended too...

Incredible stamina. No shame. Yellow Fever.

Phoenix fans. We have to win them over one fan at a time.

Most sad thing is that we will be happy if we draw. We need to win, we need a miracle.

No Siggy or A-Rod. Watson and Jones both flying over for the game.

Has Alex Jones got a ticket in the away bay or did NZF still waiting for the email request??

We have to hope for FIFA to act efficient. This season is clearly arrived on the lowest possible point. Smells like a win.

It's actually just a stop over on the way home.

Would love to see siggy start this game.  This is gonna be one of those gritty, tireless, nix-boys-on-the-pitch-Vs-the-world moments.  So freakin there.

Line up for the weekend? Does Manny stay in midfield in replace of ARod or does he go back to FB either replacing Doyle or Fenton (Fenton into midfield or replacing Stevens further forward) with Ridenton into midfield?

Jones not listed in the Phoenix squad, not sure if that means even if he gets clearance won't be able to play this round?

I'm not sure our squad could be called gritty or tireless this season.

Siggy seems to have come through his 45 min outing for the Weenix okay.

Hope we see him in action tomorrow...

Two kids behind me checking the program and smartphone about the age of the players, and then mentioned that guy could be the dad. I think they meant Siggy. A bit far fetched but funny. Some of those WeeNix boys look really young.

7 Goals game was fun to watch. Rogerson missed at least 3 golden chances and a tab in with a air swing. They bossed them 100% in the first half.

Not a choice of words I would use today against the flare users or even with the dry conditions in Aussie. Excited? About what? Who has screwed up this time? FFA, FIFA, NZF, Nix?

Will be close to 30 degrees at kick off, perfect conditions for the Nix I sense an upset !

Can we break a record today? Longest no win streak? Biggest loss? My favorite would be biggest win to catch up all the missed chances from the last 10 games.

rumour has it that Hamish Watson will go straight into the starting 11

Permalink Permalink

Hamish scores a quick fire first ten minutes hat-trick, mouths a "fudge you" to the RBB, gets a red card. The RBB angered, set off several flares and are kicked out of the stadium and the club fined again and lose 3 points. BUT, the FFA don't award the 3 points to the Phoenix either! A new metric.
