Suddenly a wild and uncontrolled discussion about our Perf Glory game this Sunday threatens to break out in the middle of our perfectly civilised discussion about important matters (sci-fi cinema: yes, short-statured scientology-spouting stars: no).

Back to the game, I hope Perth's Top Gun striker Keogh doesn't hit us like a Cruise missile or else it might be Mission Impossible for us. Still, we have A Few Good Men but getting something out of this game could be Risky Business. Either way I will need a Cocktail afterwards.

I also hope it doesn't Rain Man.

And the Nix are playing Far and Away! But if we keep our eyes wide shut, the collateral might be losing it or Oblivian

we will look like some referees!

I hope we win. 

I think we all hope we will win but Keogh is on form and so too is Perth. Hope for the best, plan for the worst.

You know what's really messed up about that film? It's stupider and makes less sense than the original book. And the original book was by L. Ron Hubbard. Take a bow, Travolta, you made your guru's stuff worse.

Er, and we've going to get humped, I just know it.

Wasn't it voted as worst movie ever made? Surpassing Plan 9 from Outer Space?

Personally I'd vote for "Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" (.... from Perth)

You have to distinguish between big budget worse movies and low budget worse movies. The classics include Manos the hand of fate,  plan 9, Glen or Glenda, and the room. Then there's the Hollywood ones life show girls or battle field earth. 

Although I think Keogh is probably a blockbuster watching sort of guy.

I thought he was great as Reacher and I'm one of the few who actually enjoyed that movie. Just have to get over the short thing, Reacher is more than his height. 

And I just know the intern who will soon be doing all of the Glorys marketing for free would agree with me.

Im feeling a bit 50 shades of grey about the game myself.

Seeing as the curtain is almost down on our season.

But to be fair I haven't actually seen Cruise as Reacher except in trailers so maybe it works better than I would think!

There's a sequel movie coming out late this year, based on the Never Go Back book.  And yes, Cruise is signed to play Reacher again.

Going to get pumped players have nothing to play for now they all have contracts next year. Watson will be the only one trying.

sigh. You can't... oh well

Jack Reacher is a horrid series of books. Why. Is it written. Like. This. With short. Sentences. Every page. 

Jack Reacher is cool. Read all 21 books. Not Cruises fault he is dyslexic. He thought Reacher was 5'6" not 6'5".

Back to Perth, Keogh is just the sort of mongrel striker we need. Someone to bully the defence, yet score some pretty handy goals.

In off topic news, if you get down to the bencher pregame, you get a chance to see the ASBP Trophy.

We're on the edge of tomorrow needing to win the next 4 games to stand any chance, less we sink into oblivion.

Instead of "Losin' It", we could become "The Outsiders" and be "The Firm" that "Without Limits" actually shows "The Others" "The Color of Money" with 3 points.

going to miss my first match for a few years on sunday, got a double whammy crocked my back and having some serious migraines over the last week which do not seem to want to go away.

i've been waiting "knight and day" for this game .I just hope i get to the pub early to have a drink with "A few good men "
