Most pointless signing... Lia.

I think Hysegems will play wide left with Brockie up top and Ifil on the bench till he's fully fit.

Boxall to RB.

Good side - I like that.

Asymmetrical with Reira playing tighter to the middle and Cunningham pushing higher.

That's a day travelling and in airports. try and think of the last time you were away from the forum for that long.

I just couldn't believe the speed and pressure of our pressing in brisbane's half. It was so intense, they didn't have a second to look up.

People hassle siggy for stepping out of the backline and rushing into tackles a lot, but that was our gameplan last weekend. Muscat, siggy, lia and boxall were all looking to pick their moments when the brisbane player wasn't expecting a challenge, and rush in to win possession. They didn't miss many either.

Beautiful

At least they are going direct to Sydney. Maybe a couple of six a side games in the transit lounge?

Ernie's not gonna change much at all. Told the player afterwards he was proud of them. So there's no way he will reward them with wholesale changes. They simply ran out of steam, but that will improve as the new fitness regime kicks-in. I really enjoyed the way we played. WSW away is not a tick box game, though obviously I hope we upset them. More important to get a pattern going. Napier will be interesting, and likely to produce our first points. Still think we'll be one of the best side's around by Xmas. But a few hiccups first as the best starting eleven finally emerges. Can't wait to see Rufer and Ridenton get their opportunities later on.

Big call. Never saw him play RB for ACFC in 3 years.

I'm gonna miss the game because I have a 36 hour trip to Edinburgh on Saturday - I can only hope that one of my transit periods coincides but I doubt it.

So harden up dura.

It's good to have Boyd as a player who is pushing for a place in the match day squad rather than a have to start as he was last year. I wouldn't mind if he was starting though- thought he looked good when he came on last week- though didn't link as well as he could have, moved really well with the ball at his feet.

Lia did seem to be one of our players who was actually fit to play 90 minutes last week. If that and the ability to tackle is a quality we want in a player...

Manny would come the closest. Only other real right backs we have had are David Mulligan and Jimmy Downey...

Dear Martin,

Your comments regarding Tyler and Vincent were such a wild deviation from your usual well informed comments they begged for a "cheeky-we're-all-friends-here-old-pal" rejoinder.  I apologise for offending you cause you re usually a good c**nt.

Cheers

Glad we wont have Boyd coming on in the last 10. Got sick of that last season and watching him run with  his head down and into a hole, lose the ball.

Agreed on this. Is our best possible line up. Sounds like it might be Adams at right back again, though..

I think when its been stated that Adams has been left out and Boxall was one of our better players (and made a couple team of the weeks) I think you are inclined to see one of the 3 at RB.

Harsh on Spoonley but that's what happens when you are number 2. He can hold his head up because in his last two fill in gigs where he has come in from out side the squad (last year and this year) he has fronted and done a very good job. I suspect if he had an aussie passport, he maybe somewhere else in the league. Its a big call but if you were looking for a keeper, the stats are in his favour coming in cold and doing a job twice.
