On the substitution topic. Having said that I understand the reason for it and that I think Ernie did well to add an extra MF I wonder if maybe Brockie should have come off instead of Stein as he is looking very tired and flat

agree. Another good call. To be fair though, WSW are moving the ball around quicker than Brisbane did so we are chasing shadows.

Would be silly to press as hard as last week - it's hot and humid.

He was playing a 4-2-3-1 with Brockie as a wide man and bought on an actual wide man in place of Stein and moved Brockie up front. I think it's an admission that Brockie is not a wide man. No shape has changed from what I can see

Bertos is a better RB than Adams by a considerable margin

Yeah I had massive raps on him prior to seeing him and I suspect I am going to have to eat some pie now I have... Either that or he is still getting in shape (I hope)

Yeah nah... He's quality, it's pretty obvious. This is probably the worst side he's ever played in. Can't imagine working alongside or in front of Lia is helping his game.

Wouldn't say that. Better on the ball but has been completely out of position on a number of occasions. More worried about Caira though - he doesn't seem to take any responsibility defensively and leaves it for Dura to clean up

Its not pretty obvious to me. I hope to be proved wrong

Too much long ball from our back guys (Durante excepted) Lia kicking too much ball away. Manny ok but on a yellow so can't get in another tackle, Carlos came back into it around the 20th then disappeared again, Brockie invisible sans a side netting and a cross into row z, Kenny who and an angry Stein and Hicks looking ok.

Hopefully Ernie has figured out that it's Stein or Brockie up top and not Brockie as the wide guy. One has to ride the pine.

He doesn't seem to know how to do anything except run fast straight ahead and then either stop and pass back or cross poorly. Which is exactly what Totori used to do but he was actually a bit more effective as he had more strength to push past players. It's pretty concerning. Can I ask how he 'obviously' has quality? Cause I'm not seeing it at all.

Wouldn't be surprised if Alex Rufer or Matthew Ridenton end up overtaking Kenny Cunningham when they're back.

It's frustrating watching WSW beat us to almost every 50-50 ball. Still think we've played reasonably well since that first shambolic first 15 minutes.

Agreed. Haven't seen anything to indicate quality so far. I hope he turns it around and proves us wrong. (cunningham)
