So, with that ex-cyclone weather moving in to Wellington, will that affect anyone's chance of getting to the game in Auckland?

probably not if they are coming from Auckland.

With Mullen out injured, I would prefer to have Rossi on the bench as a decent sub in case something happens to Fox or Dura during the game. Paracki could drop back but he is not a natural CB.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Yeh I hope Fox stays on as starter. Tomorrow's lineup will be very interesting! Natural selection at its best.

I'm really a big fan of Fox when he's not injured. One of the only good parts of this season. Really, really strong in the air - still has a bit to work on positionally but will get there if he gets consistent game time. I also don't mind Mullen at CB; too bad he is injured.

I more impressed by the fact he found a clock with the starting time on fire... its the little details that make the difference.

This. You can see that Fox loves to play and is enjoying it, lot's of energy.

remember that cracking goal we scored at brisbane last year? the one where we had about 4 million passes?

fox was a big part of that, had the ball in an advanced blind alley and played his way out beautifully

i like that he's getting a good run now. even if rossi is currently a bit better, i'd like to see him continue in the side, get properly assimilated and benefit from the experience. then, hey presto, next year we have at least one defensive position we don't have to worry about.

If we expect our CBs to get involved upfront, in the style of Topor-Stanley, then Fox does it better than Rossi.

However, as a pure CB, they are probably even, with Fox being taller and "harder", Rossi somewhat more skillful but not more skillful than Dura if that makes sense.

If we had 28 year old Dura, Serie A Rossi, Fit Mullen, Fox and Doyle we'd have the best Centre back rotation in the league.

Unfortunately we have 35 year old Dura, ISPS Handa Premiership Rossi, broken Mullen, Fox, and one of the best left backs in the league (albeit recovering from injury) so probably the worst centre back rotation in the league.

Doyle is one of the best left backs in the league? Jeez that is a sad indictment on the rest of the league.

Do we have any stats for his average pass completion? I feel like it hovers around 50-60%; bloody frustrating, but he has a good engine and is good in the air. Gets caught out a hell of a lot though.

Good left backs have been a rarity in this league since year one.  Doyle is well above the average.

He wasn't at his best last week but I suspect he only played because with so many other players out he was the least broken option.

The problem is that most A League left and right backs were originally midfielders turned into wing backs. Then all you get is a player poor at defending who goes wandering up the field well ahead of the ball, usually not giving any angle to receive a pass.

When he does receive the ball it gets passed back  and numerous times he is caught up the field when there is an attack down his flank.

Kosmina in the pre-game for this match in Fox Sports. Let's see if he questions our place in the League if we're down 1-0 at half time.

Darije Kalezic said in his interview Singh was "too light" to play earlier in the season, as he was showing quality and enthusiasm in training. So Sarpreet has hit the gym and he now gets starts.

Sure he has now put on 10KGs. This Coach is a clown. If he had Messi he would not play him beacause he would be too small and too light
