I dont agree with this,  I think for a player who has come back from injury with little match practice has done ok,  considering that the rest of the team has played very poorly

if Appiah cuts back instead of passing one more fudgeing time

He's been dreadful too. By far the worst game I've seen him play.

Games like this you need your quality players to step up but he's been awful.

Thank god that's over. The only positive outcome is that no one was (physically) injured. Oh, and we learned that Ridenton is not a right back.

Lia? Thought he was clutching at his leg in the 2nd half before going off.

It was a good experience for the bloke, Ernie will now point out to him what he did wrong and whip him into shape.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Stupidly kicked out at Siggy after being fouled, so no free kick to SFC.

Probably a brainfade, cause they're actually great mates.

Siggy did not even look complain. Class.

I must have missed that. I hope he's ok since Riera will be out next week.

He did not play badly.

I think he got subbed off as a precaution.

Uo37..., we already knew riddenton wasn't a right back. Ernie error of judgement I think. I would have played either a more experienced player out of position (hicks) or given an inexperienced but specialist fullback a go (dimairo).

Kotahitanga. We are one.

What I got out of this game is that we probably would have leaked a couple of goals anyway even with WeeMac and Burns on the pitch.

We did not score with a makeshift frontline, but equally I do not think having Fenton in the backline would have helped our defence. With the full-strength squad we might have lost 1:2 or thereabouts. Sydney are playing very well away this season so I do not see it as a "debacle" or anything of the sort.

As it is we have a plausible excuse to give to the board; but the reality is that we got outplayed today by a better team.

My main concern is that not having Riera next week is a bummer. Roly will have to step up.

Yep, Riera getting sent off was stupid. Royally screws us against Melbourne. I can handle the loss.

Not sure if I agree with that. A full Nix line up is a far different proposition from today's cobbled together team. Sydney were very good in that they pressed us heavily in all the areas we were weakest, yet all three goals came as result of extremely poor defending, not Sydney brilliance.

Also to be competitive in a match you have to achieve good levels of passing accuracy. Ours was simply appalling, with many of our most experienced players at fault. By the end all pretence of Ernie's gameplan had gone out the window and we were reduced to slinging in hopeful crosses RickiNix style. I think we basically gifted them the points.

The game should never have been played with all those players missing, but it was an abysmal performance nonetheless. Second to every ball, created very little, and just generally a gear behind Sydney most of the game. Idiotic sending off too.

Worst performance of the season. This was just bad footy, all players equally rubbish. Hope it wakes them up.

Nix passing accuracy was better than Sydney. We gifted them three goals, considering the changes to the team, Sydney really didn't create a lot of clear cut scoring chances (but neither did the Nix). Every so often Ernie has a tactically poor game, that was one of them, but nothing to angst about.

yeah 6237...about 1000 left at halftime and it gradually got less.

Ref wasn't great either.

Our passing was rubbish..there were multiple passes in a row to opposition.

Not looking forward to next meeting.
