Embarrasing for the Jets.  They look worse than we did last week if that's possible.  We can only play the team in front of us though, and could easily have dropped to their level, but we have kept the foot on the throat and played well.

Game coverage ends, fittingly, with a camera shot of pale-bellied Patrick whooping it up in the stands.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Well, I did not see that coming! Really good stuff. Jets were utterly abysmal but I don't see why any Nix player should be dropped next week for the returning players. None of them have turned in a performance like that all season.

Unlucky or possibly just lack of experience but looked promising.

Krishna in for Watson, but otherwise I agree.

I'm not sure what Krishna has done to get back in the team, he's looked crap for ages! Does Dura get back in too?

Krishna for Watson seems fair enough - but without him playing that target role Kosta would have been less effective IMO... I'm not sure Kosta and Krishna are a great combo.

Watson did well. Struggle to see why you'd drop him. Lia was superb tonight; ditto Fox and the rest. The Jets were made to look very poor by an excellent team. Can only conclude its about combinations, and the combinations tonight were very good.

The surprise package this season for me is Vinny Lia. Definitely the best weve seen from him.

Midfield looked really good. they played nicely out through Roly. What a good header by Finkler.Fox showing some controlled mongrel. Singh, Rogan and Riddenton all were very good subs.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Only players to bring next week be Dura & Doyle?

I like to see the same team starting next week. Maybe Krishna for Watson (not that he played bad) but Roy delivered pretty much all season. I think Hudson is dead wrong taking Rufer for Kosta or Ridenton. First that intense Team Wellington game and then a 5:0 Jets smashing , this is football heaven, haha.

Dura has no place in our 1st XI. I'd bring in Doyle, Ridenton and Moss.

None of the Aw's should get a look in, but I bet they do.

I thought Italiano was excellent and helped us counter attack quickly. Kostas goal was partly- and probably quite fortuitously this time- from his punch. But he seemed strong in the air, aware of danger and good clearing kicks.

Great result against a really poor jest side.

Really confused about some of the subs though.

Jack Henry Sinclair on the bench. An actual right back.  Lowry off so we put on Ridenton a makeshift right back?

4 nil up . Why not give Rogerson more than 9 minutes?

Good to see Singh get a decent run when we are up for a change. He should be signed to a full contract asap.

Good to see the look like we care Nix turn up today.

Italiano pkayed well and pulled off at least 3 eXcellent saves. Played with confidence and did not make me feel nervous watching. A decent performance and it could have been a few more goals too. Jets were woeful but credit where it's due. At our last home game, I am going to win my LUCKY QPR jersey again. It was a sign, they won 5-1 and now the Nix have won 5-0.

Dale what was the official crowd? 4k and what? I reckon it was in reality about 4k flat.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

wouldn't have either of them. We won despite Watson having the touch of a Lummox, Krishna or smelt have to be better. But most of all we won cos we decided to actually go forwards a bit more often, and we got the rub of the green for that positive approach.

Crap? I think Roy has been consistently the Nix best all season. And no I wouldn't bring Dura back in.
