False hope.

Bit harsh, people support their local team for all sorts of reasons!

So poor, no midfield at all. Why Finkler is still on I have no idea, what does he offer currently.

Need a new manager, new ideas and a new attitude.

Apparently not.

I don't think the Phoenix have won a must win game for a looooong time

Good luck getting new fans when we are so shark.

Personally I'll still be watching until the end (if it comes to that...which every week gets closer) even if we are rubbish.

With Adelaide winning this is still a real chance of ending up with the wooden spoon.

Yeah plenty of those around...

I think some of us are just tired of this crap. One good season in about six is enough to test anyone's patience.

I'm frustrated, but I should be.

As a fan I have seen the team for the last two years get hyped up, but deliver very little other than excuses or cliche comments like we are working hard to improve.

We seem to be stuck, and until something serious changes, nothing else will.

I want the new coach to be named asap, I don't believe Greeny and Buckingham should be helping decide who to sign, given their results, the lack of professionalism by 3 pros to young Rufer going awol.

How can we have faith in a system that the players clearly don't.

That was my issue with these two being named as 'permanent' coaches to the end of the season.  The new coach could have been spending these last few games getting to know the squad, working out where and how he wanted to strengthen, take an active role in signing players, and have a whole off season to put the team together.  Now a new coach will come in a couple of months out from the season, with a squad mostly completed, and have to start from there.

It means we're not allowed to criticise and we should be delighted by umpteen defeats every season!

Can't wait to avoid the articles tomorrow... in other news Rufer called up to the All Whites. According to Hudson he's been playing well (maybe on Fifa?) and is clearly one of the best at the NIX where he can't even make the youth team.

Ridenton must be nice watch on the training pitch. Otherwise i've no idea how he keeps getting a gig.

For sure, but with the chances WSW had we could have conceded a lot more.

Ridenton isnt a RB, he's a mid and a decent one... but can't get a game.

Considering how bad out midfield has been this year, I wonder if he is simply not rated.

Don't apologise. We follow this team (some more than others) and expect more from the players. The same players who still collects a pay check, no matter how they perform.

It was a pathetic display and has been the norm for this season.

Do you call it moaning, when people feel frustrated after such a pathetic display???

Or should we all just sit and clap and say: Hey, they did their very best.

It's not like we can sit and agree that they at least put in a good performance and showed some fight. Because they don't, at the moment. It's appalling!

Isn't this football??? Aren't you allowed to be pissed off after being let down time after time?

Poor performance. Chances of finals looking grim

When I see the Phoenix I go out of my head, i've just have had enough, i've just have had enough. Every round we seem to lose and now we have to say i've just have had enough, i've just have had enough. We sit and cry as we lose 3:1, and we   just   cant   seem   to take   it   any  more.

I'm becoming depressed can we please win against Newcastle!

Nah - Stevo never has anything positive to say about our club ever-even if we are winning.

He's not a right back, but the game he played in the midfield, we won and he was one of the best. Players all playing out of position when it comes to fullbacks because we only have Tratt

Feeling quite deflated after last nights performance. For a game that was pretty much a 'must win' the team didnt turn up. WSW wanted the win so much more than we did and harried the nix, chased down every ball...made the nix look very poor indeed. Our midfield is very suspect and were regularly beaten to most balls that went through it and yet we still persist in playing wide, across the park and then finally...backwards...so easy for other teams to defend against, gives them plenty of time to get players behind the ball. I hear 'des' on the radio this morning being unhappy that Parhouse hadnt declared that he was unwell before the game and basically that he was the fault that caused the the nix to slide unceremoniously to defeat....Parkhouse is not a left back, Ridenton is not a right back....what the hell did they expect would happen?

I think that the Nix have to look at getting a 'proper' manager. Des and Greenie are clearly not working and why should it? Greenie has been here as assistant coach for some years now and we are still shark, when was Des ever a first team coach?

Im not sure that a clear out is in order but certain individuals need to hold up their hands and own up to not performing, some players need to move on

The main reason that I've heard for people leaving this forum is the constant negativity which unfortunately concentrates it further. It's okay to be critical but you don't have to go on and on about it, we all know the performance was bad.

He was rewarding a successful team by keeping the players that performed as starters, Parkhouse has done well in the last two games in that position.

He shouldn't throw a young player under the bus in public though.

I'm not sure how this season could be termed anything other than a complete and utter disaster.

Expectations were pretty high, results have been poor, star signings have been underwhelming, two (three) managers haven't worked, clearly disharmony in the camp, obviously a massive attitude problem with some players, zero progress from young players through the the first team, poor crowds both in and outside Wellington.  Aside from a pretfty strong social media game what positives can you actually think of?
