Those 3 weeks of bossing bottom 4 teams was a lot more fun than tonight.

If we play lke that again, might as well not turn up for the play offs.

It seems like any other week that wouldn't have been a loss.

Kurto doesn't bobble that third over the line and any of Williams shots are like his usual ones and that's a different game.

So frustrating.

Right. My summary...

We lost a match after an incredible few weeks of football from the lads. Shark happens. Lets move on to next week!

Disappointing performance, they had all the ball and did not much with it.

Next week will be better.

Horrific performance, second was good in terms of intensity but still made the wrong decision so many times. Hopefully we needed to get that shark house of a performance out the way. Interesting to see how we respond.

wondering why Willo is wide right, not Krishna. Williams has been banging in shots from the left of the park. He did alright out there, but all the same.

Why is the commentary always so low compared to the crowd in many of these A-league games?

Got to get back to basics with a few things. No point banging in 15 goals against the easy beats and not being able to do it with the big boys.

Time for Taylor to get back in. Burgess probably should start over Singh, and is the Sheriff actual good? He needed to do better tonight to force some starts

Don't think any coach would expect his defence to hand them three goals on a plate like that. Reds tactics have been easily defendable by any average back line.

And yet TAB was paying close to $3 for us to draw or win, and only $1.65 for the Reds to win.

So much this.

Hopefully this game was just a blip in the tail end of a season where we look back and laugh at that shark game in Adelaide.

Maybe trying to make the atmosphere sound better to convince people to go?

He could have scored three tonight so clearly gets in the right place at the right time.

I rate Sheridan and Burgess tonight (in the second half) way better than Roy all night, and even Williams (who was very wayward).

He’s the only one that scored!

Bit worried how we will drop off now. Surely the news regarding Rudan, Kurto etc. has to be splitting a united dressing room.

Agree with this you cant tell me all the talk about Rudan and the uncertainty about our future isnt having an affect on the players. They will all deny it of course but many of these guys have families. When there isnt clarity about the future and with the season getting close to the end its only natural their attention becomes divided.

kinda feel sorry for Lowry. Puts in a good shift in CD and gets put to RWB where he gets done.

Agreed. Not sure if Eliott has the experience to have played there tonight, but Lowry had a torrid night, as did Golec.

... well, apart from that...

He had a slip up and a slow start to the game - looked asleep - and it cost us, but his second half was much improved in my humble opinion.

Lowry was shocking and should have done far better for an experienced pro. Doesn't matter if hes not a natural left back. Tonight he made basic defensive errors.

I actually disagree about Golec, if you're insinuating that he was as bad as Kopa. Yes he had a torrid night, but I don't think due to his own performances, more because of Kopa and Durantes performances. He wasn't amazing in the first half but he put in a shift compared to the others in that back line, and actually had quite a decent second half.
Annual finals disappointment enthusiast.

Stensness was sharp, though the job was easy as Adelaide were sitting back by that stage.  He is so much better that Kopa who, I will repeat, does not know how to tackle, or win aerial battles.

Const... your new on here and really seem to talk up the young brigade. Which is call, but it smacks of bias - looking after your mates??

That was Kopa's first costly mistake that I can recall since he moved into the backline. Also, I think that just before he went to jump for the header he slipped, so was a little unlucky in that instance IMO.

Rufer played well, some lovely turns, good strength, but we didn't control the pitch at all.

I can see the Roar committing niggly fouls to stop the Nix momentum, like United did last night.

That will frustrate us if the Ref does not stomp his authority from the word go.Some real hard training sessions ahead of the Roar game, that's for sure.

Are they staying over there, does anyone know?

That 3rd goal and a lot of poor passing out the back, especially long switches, in the first half. 2nd half he wasn't under pressure, excellent covering the space to prevent shot or pass when Goodwin broke free.

I have watched Kopa closely, as you do with imports.  For me he is scared to tackle. He shies away from physical contact and relies on his positioning to force players to pass elsewhere.  Compare that to Taylor, Durante, Rufer or Stensness: none of whom are worried about the physical stuff and as a result, control their space, then often take the ball off the opposition and into transition play.

I accept a complete team requires a lot of skillsets and combinations - no single player has them all.  But when there is an area of the pitch (two areas in this case, left and right of our box) where all of the players present are weak in one aspect (defence), it's no surprise when the opposition attack those spaces and whip in crosses, as Adelaide did on Sunday.

Just my opinion mind.

Rudan said in an interview before the Adelaide game that they would be staying on.

Presumably travelling up to Brissie early this week.
