R27 vs Perth Glory | Sun 28th April | 9pm | SS3

There is only two scenarios in which we can finish 4th

1) Brisbane beat Adelaide on Thursday afternoon & we get a draw vs the Glory

2) Brisbane/Adelaide draw on Thursday afternoon & we beat the Glory.

If Adelaide win and we wish to finish 6th to face a trip to Melbourne instead, we need City to thrash CCM and Glory to beat us by enough that there is a 7 goal swing in goal difference.

Heading into the Glory game, both Durante & Rufer are 1 yellow card away from a 1 match ban.

This is probably the best time to play Perth to get a win so lets hope brisbane can do us a favour

I think we just try and win the next game that matters..which might be this one or more likely the one after.

Reckon the odds of us winning 3 games is a lot less than the 1 in 3.8million odds of winning lotto.

Allegedly

are we going to win the league? Most likely not. Is it more enjoyable being slightly hopeful and excited about the team rather than constantly negative and pessimistic? Yes it is.

I think he should go out and buy every possible combo of numbers just to prove you wrong. The odds are irrelevant if he buys all the numbers.

The League has already been won by Perth.  We are now playing for the end of season cup

Bin dippers never do my teams any favours i'm afraid.

Really hope the roar can get at least a draw though, then it'll make Saturday very interesting. I've no doubt Rudan will have them geared up regardless. Hopefully the last home win will help the team rediscover their mojo.

I suggest renaming the thread to "R27 vs Adelaide" on the strength of our feelings so far.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

You'd hope so but then last season the Mariners shipped 8 goals to the Jets in front of Mulvey at his first game after he was hired.

Somehow knew last Sunday would be our last home game for the season, it was in our hands and we blew it with those two losses.

Too much had to go our way for a home final.

I’m thinking a lot of fans took that game for granted because they didn’t think it would be the last game. Sucks we didn’t get to have a proper end of season party though.

Oh well, see you next season folks.

So does he risk playing Dura and Rufer and run the risk of them not being there for the finals game.

They've travelled with the team already, but i'm guessing they won't be used. Or at least, I hope they won't be.

Hope we can see some of our youngsters get minutes. Sail definitely should get a start, has looked decent in his two games. Also woudn't mind seeing more of Waine and Stensness.

Yes, I think Waine and Stensness could have big futures in the team.  They both deserve starts.

And I think CIllian deserves a decent run as well, to maybe catch Perth out with something different.

Well once we know that Roy is certain of the Golden boot (or not) then the only issue is do we want to finish 5th or 6th or don't we care..... Sheridan definitely deserves a decent chance - I reckon he has been highly under-utilised this season - to our detriment in my opinion. Maybe a starter with Williams at wing back again?

Who would Sheridan have replaced when you have the most potent striking partnership in the league your not likely to go replacing either of them.So then you have Singh Burgess Rufer and Mandi not likely to one of them either. Sorry but the chances he has been given he hasnt taken so dont get peoples call for him to be starting all the time.
