Would Moss's position in the keeper's league reflect our league position do you think? Thomas and Redmayne have been immense. Very good players.

I mean it is an exceptionally tight league, but we are just a little bit behind in so many positions

At least we seem to be creating a few more chances than we have in recent weeks

Redmayne would have saved that.

Three for me, and two for them.

Lia isn't helping much. Pushing too far into midfield and not screening the back 4. There's too much space between our lines

This is exactly what happened for that 2nd goal

Time for Roly to move further back for us? Maybe that's the secret next year,  or an alternative formation he says

hopefully.

I know we are losing but for the most part I'm enjoying this game.  Some great energy and some great shots, just a few too many mistakes which WSW is capitalising on.

He's not looking frisky is he?

I don't think he should be re-signed, given the number of midfielders we already have signed for next year, but it would be a shame if this was his last game and he never got the chance for a proper sendoff like Manny and Siggy have been given

A testimonial appearance in pre-season or something could be arranged. I'd feel a lot worse if the opposition runs riot in front of our back 4 next year

This crowd shoulda got a game.

Redmayne denied us. and then we were weak across all positions at the back. One slow player maybe, but not 3.

Roly has coughed the ball up a bit too.

We've showed glimpses of last years belief and urgency, but the league has been too good this year.

Wonder where last years team would have finished this year?

I think they would have still done really well.

Game pretty much gone to script. Tried hard but lacked imagination and pace and in some cases technical ability Beaten by a better team

No we had some really class moments. Redmayne made two sensational saves. Just couldn't beat him.

Castelen was also immense and hit us a few times on the counter when we were really threatening.

One goes in for us and it might have been a different story.

We've hit the post twice and one of their goals was a tad jammy. A few centimetres difference in 3 incidents and we could be winning 2-1. Fine margins.

Re: Roly - for the second half of this season he has reminded me of a guy who's dropped down a couple of grades to fill in and is clearly quality, but who is ineffective because he's trying to do too much and carry the team all by himself. He spends too much time just dwelling on the ball and trying to turn a defender or two instead of playing the simple ball

i think Roly is just sick of having to carry the team, to be honest. Watching Finkler I still think he's a bit of a flat track bully, but I hope he'll help Roly's game.

Roly has had to do too much- but also has been a bit out of synch. Not finding team mates, not moving the ball quickly.

We were not good enough. Yes we could have scored but for me WSW were not playing at their best. At least we were better as there was no pressure on us.

Can we please get another three good defenders for next season.

Farewell Siggy and Manny.

Good riddance to season 15/16. A horrendous effort which is statistically our worst I think? Certainly over 27 games it is. Home form absolutely abysmal. A real lack of fight which is the worst thing about it.

At least we made the keeper and bars do some work this week.

The one bouncing off the inside of the bar and going across the front of the goal was unfortunate.

Fever zone was great but while I like my seats I think I need to move next year so hopefully I don't need to sit in front of the far right angsters next year.  Two games ago they were pissing and moaning about us not shooting. This week the same people were moaning about the keeper stopping them and the shots off the bar.  Drove me nuts.

Bit tough.  Thought the first half was good, and we were probably the better side and created the better chances in that half.  We just didn't take them. (Which imho is not luck, it's a consistent inability to hit the great cross or shot, time players into the box, and to finish clinically.  Plus that lack of imagination, two player understanding and pace to play around a defender for a clear shot)

Second half they were able to suffocate us more and we went back to succumbing to pressure, and loosing possession cheaply.

But this, apart from Castellan, is not one of the faster teams in the League, so Lia could (mostly) cope and our back four were less often exposed.  We'll need to be a lot better at the back next year.  Come on Ernie, Welnix.  Need to find a couple of gooduns.

Hopefully the signings up front mean we will already be better attacking.

Have a good off season everybody, a good retirement from professional football Sig, and enjoy Melbourne Manny.  Just don't enjoy your footy against us too much.

Yeah he had a pretty poor game defensively. He was working hard but got cooked by Castelan a few times. Doyle too. I still think we would have been better balanced if A-Rod and Lia had been swapped

Roly gave away too much this game . A rod didn't . A shame really they dominated midfield to me, and castelen was a beast  .

we need taller players.
