we've threatened a couple of times down the left, both sides just lacking the final shot.

Wenzel halls has butchered that. They are really putting us under a lot of pressure.

We are...not playing well. We look exhausted. No structure, holes the size of the grand canyon...Piscopo and Cacace have tried, lots of good balls into the middle and Ball/Hooper in no mans land.

Devlin/Steinmann/Davila/Hooper/Ball all struggling tonight.

both teams playing no risk footy, trying not to lose not really pushing for the win.

second half will open up.

Can someone summarise the first half? Only got here around the 35min mark. My eldest threw up all over the bed (and me) while I was putting him down. Oh the joys

Hoops almost scored a classic NZP goal there

That should have been a classy as goal.  Instead it was a great save.

You could say pretty even. Young's made 3 saves to Marinovic's one but to me Roar have looked far more dangerous and have had our defence hanging on for long periods.

resulting in pretty much nothing, running through a team and getting nothing dangerous from it isnt great. 1 save from Marinovic to 3 from young says we've been more accurate than they have.

im not sure I'd agree that Roar have been more dangerous, weve had more of the ball, passed it better, shot more accurately. they had 8 shots and made Marinovic save one. not really that threatening.

Roar clearly the better side, Nix running around like headless chickens. Hoopers little chip on goal was good but we need better to even have half a chance.

On a side note Ref isnt doing to bad atm.

Cagey game by both sides. Roar dominating shots 10 to Nixs 4. Only positives for us are Cacace and occasionally Piscopo and our scrambling defense especially Hudson-Wihongi. Another quiet game from Davila and Ball is invisible. Our play is too predictable. We play it back and forth across the back and then slowly shuffle it wide to Cacace who recycles it back to the defenders. Devlin is dropping deep to receive but we really need more fizz in the midfield. We need more movement from Davila and Piscopo and get them the ball between the Roars lines. It’s all too static and predictable . I don’t feel good about our chances in this game. The imports need to significantly up their game.

agree, our decision making is to slow. we need to have build up play with purpose.

Roar have shut down Davila really well tonight, which has slowed our attacks a lot.

that's the third time Davila has been hit in the last 10 minutes

McDonald beats three to get a shot off like that!

Don't deserve to win this one, we are toothless.

Piss poor defending, absolutely no pressure on him; Devlin just let him go.

Work from Mcdonald, but how on earth do you give him that space to shoot there. There was three around him at one point.

That's the bit of class that we are lacking. A brilliant save and a brilliant goal are the difference in this game.

We just look off. Every player looks out of sorts except Cacace and maybe Piscopo.

Think this situation is starting to wear on them.

thought we'd done enough to shepherd him out of the box. Looks like Rufer will be more direct

Jamie Young has kept them in the game to be fair, any other keeper and we'd be two up now.
