Someone get Niki O'Connor to read this thread. Apparently, I am the only one to slam the Ref on the Phoenix fans FB page. Just reading through this entire thread, you guys have got it right. Yes, the Nix did not perform well and yet again were let down by some duibious decisions.

Louie AND Cam were lucky to stay on the park - at least 2 yellows each. BUT, in fairness, Duke and their Number 5 should have had about 4 yellows each for their not very subtle antics. How the referee "didn't see them", only God knows. Once again, all I ask is that if you are going to be crap, be crap to both sides and be consistent.

I acknowledge that we didn't play well. But for about the first 25 mins when we were all over them. And even at the end of the game, I thought WSW really didn't offer that much regardless of how the Nix under performed. As for the goal that wasn't, I know VAR isn't being funded but what about the goal line technology. I'd have loved to have seen that view and how tight it was. And what did the Linesmen see from their position??

Edited a sentence so it read better :)

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

The a-league also doesn't have goal line technology due to cost, you have to have multiple special cameras mounted in each ground for it to work. It looked like a goal to me so very disappointing it couldn't be revisited.

I am kind of surprised that these grounds don't have the facilities in place whereby the mounts are there with cabling and that it is a matter of mounting the camera and plugging it in. This would create a situation for any codes playing at that venue to have everything in place. I appreciate the set up costs but I would think those are recovered as the ground gets used. Or is that common sense??

Yeah that makes far too much sense for the FFA to do

I‘m pretty sure that ball from Ball wasn’t completely over the line.

I thought the Fox production value is a bare minimum, instead of having those two sideline commentators they should take the money  and install static cameras covering the last third and small cameras inside/behind goals.

Maybe the sideline commentators can also watch if the ball goes over the line ??

Would much rather they spent Speed and Bozza's salaries on goal line tech than what they currently do with it

Valley FC til I die?
