He's a good man. We'll be at the Green Man Saturday night for Man City game then off to the game Sunday. ..could be a number of West Ham coming to the BB if I can get them along. Shake it up baby now.....

Fk can you please get the Zone doing that properly. I was trying to lead it last home game and I don't really know what I'm doing (*shock*).

Rang Brenda today to get the 20% off a ticket for a friend - only to find I was going to be charged a $9 booking fee....!! Thanks for being honest Brenda, but no thanks!

Needless to say a ticket on the gate would be a better option....

On this, is there some way to book tickets with the discount online for a smaller fee? On the membership page it mentions using your account number as a password when booking online but I cant see anywhere to enter it on Ticketek when you go to buy tickets.

Jets struggling to meet wages. Will either be demoralised or galvanised when they hit our shores.

Players wages are paid via the FFA, so are safe and will be paid on time, they have nothing to worry about in the short term. Non playing staff are the ones getting screwed.

I'll rephrase that then, the players are paid with the FFA grant to the club from the TV deal and it is guaranteed they will be paid in the CBA as those grants are only able to be used to pay the players. Better?

Yeah I'm hoping for 7k, I'll be disappointed if we get under that. Just hard to predict with weather and long weekend, I honestly thought we were going to get 10k at first home game.

I'm an optimistic pessimist.

Totally incorrect.

In fact there are a number of examples of the PFA/FFA stepping in to cover player wages.

I agree with you that the players have a good level of security of payment but not because of any restrictions on the use of the FFA payment to clubs. At least not to the best of my knowledge.

From the article:

"Player wages are covered by $2.45million in grants from the FFA specifically for that purpose, but the Herald understands that the Jets struggled last week to meet coaching and ancillary staff wages due on the 15th of the month."

From the press release for the new CBA being signed:"The administration of the Hyundai A-League has also renewed its commitment to player contract security with all clubs committing to guaranteeing that FFA Club Distribution payments will only be used to pay players’ salaries."

Yes in the past there was problems, not now. If your a non marquee player, your salary is secure.

Although the rumours are that CCM are at 85% of the salary cap, the nix have also said that they are spending more money on the squad this year - so if we haven't gone over the cap we must have been under it before.

The team must be able to spend that grant money elsewhere.
