However I cant see NZF being quite so accommodating if our Kiwi boys did the same thing for the friendly against Oman. Will just have to see how close of a bond NZF and the Phoenix really have.

you'd think that Krishna is more important to Fiji than any single all white as well.

Fiji probably has more foresight.  Keep letting Krishna get better, keep relationship's strong between NZ football and them so they can maybe get more players in the ASB.

Fiji is probably planning a longer strategy than NZF ever thought of.

Just reading the match preview on the A League website. It says kickoff at 5pm AEDT, live coverage on Fox Sports from 7pm AEDT.

Fox/the FFA clearly conspiring to reduce our tv ratings by lying about the broadcast times.

We were  very poor, so a draw was a good result.

Roly looked really disinterested, especially in the 2nd half. Most of the team did though, to be fair.

Real poor. Lets hope for better next week.

Apart from that fantastic shot, of course. But you're right - probably they'd been reading this forum and had decided "we're fudged anyway, why bother?"

Nice to have a game thread that doesn't have 300 posts to pretend to read.

Apart from the early goal, wasn't a good game from the Nix, especially the second half. Will take the point and hope for better next week even with the All Whites players out.

strange subs, I thought A Rod was pretty damn good.  Id like to see us be a bit more flexible when we need to control games...we ask a lot of our wide players, some times Id like to see McClinchy/Sarpong etc sit deeper

thought Roly was going to score 3 in the last 10 minutes, he had that 'limping Ifill' thing about him today. A little frustrated, a little out of the mix. Was sure he was going to pull out a winner and the rest.

We should have won that. Just seemed a bit tentative. Didn't quite make the final and decisive pass.

Well shark.  First half I thought it was ours, second half we were lucky to not let them score more.

Better than a loss though.  Must be saving their big win for next weekend.

In the first half I noticed he gave the ball away in key areas several times, and he seemed to be trying to make a miracle pass to Roy several times, rather than re-cyling possession or drawing the player himself.

McG was immense at first and I thought Roy has been consistently good too. Was a bit disappointed in Sarpong. Was missing that bite today. We needed it from somewhere.

Felt Rufer had a VERY good showing at DM for a player who doesn't usually even make the bench. I feel Fentons confidence is shot, seems to fear losing the ball and would rather turn around and play backward rather than attack the flanks himself, even when there is a clear opportunity to.

Not the best performance we have seen shame we couldnt make more out of some of those counter attacks. Despite all their corners they didnt really test Mossy much at all. Thought Rufur Fenton and Ridenton had some nice touches maybe a sign of what we can expect in the future.

Strangely I thought Fenton was a lot more attacking in this game than he has been all season

I've posted maybe twice on this thread so I'm hardly an angstbucket. Your "I'm dealing with this so much more maturely than the rest of you" stance is pretty irritating.

I agree he was in this game but even though I still feel he seems hesitant to take a run at his man for fear of losing the ball. An attacking fullback like Fenton should be taking a run at his man almost everytime he is at the byline all it takes is a simple cut in or out and a cross and he'd be dangerous but he'd seem to always prefer passing back. This isn't just an observation from this game. Don't get me wrong Fentons one of my favourite players but Id just like to see him gain some confidence and start running at players like he did as a winger.

Care to point to a post where i have said its a waste of time and futile. We are entitled to ask questions and given the chance Wednesday nite i will probably again. Just because you cant distinguish between people who care and those who dont dosnt make everybody an "angst bucket". Some of us have been here a bloody lot longer than you and our investment in the club in financial and emotional terms is one of the reasons your tasteless insults offend.

Dura improved on last week, A Rod slow to start but looked good rest of first half. Siggy and Manny strong. Mikey MOM for me, Krishna pretty good too, great assist for a class goal.. Good effort from Gulley. Bloody frustrating for most of 2nd half when we tried to use the fancy little touches to carry it from defence and kept losing the bloody ball. Noone held the ball up up front when Sarpong went off. I guess a point is all we deserve.

Oi Oi Edgecumbe... lets have a clean sheet

Obviously the players have ignored Ernies i struction as per the news item. "Ernie wants more ambition in front of goal". So why the fudge wont players attack up the middle and shoot? Always, always playing either out to the predictable wing or back towards our own goal. FFS have a shot.

It's like our players only want to score tap ins from 3 feet. Rolys 20 yarder that hit the post was a great example of what to do, if only the others tried it too. Very frustrating game for me. We had it and I thought at the end, they might nick it in the last minute. Not that this has happened to us before - yeah right. Come on guys try some mid and long range shooting. Keep the opposition Keeper on his toes.

Amended the bad spelling. Sometimes I really hate my tablet.

Gully, rufer and ridenton all played well today I thought.  Roly didnt have his best game today but still almost won it for us in the end.  A-Rod needs more game time, he came into the game the more it went on

I thought Gully actually did quite well and Rufer held his own so to speak.

There is something not quite right with the team. Its almost like there is a disconnect. I have noticed Roly yelling at his team mates a lot more this year. I am not saying he is a problem but more an example of what is there that should not be.

I thought Rufer was OK. I enjoyed what McGlinchey did and A-Rod too.

Fenton seems to be regressing for me. Unusual not to start Doyle.

Just back from the game and I can only agree -It was frustrating to see the ball go sideways from a shooting position followed by an inevitable turnover

Midway through second half I started seeing stuff that made me think we were going to lose the game. CCM got really energetic in our 20 yard  box, and managed to always swamp our lines.

The result probably overall reflects the game fairly well, but it could have very easily ended up 2:1 to either side tonight.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Am I being overly critical when I say that Moss should've done better on the goal? A classic Nix setpiece horror show anyway. Even allowing for the greasy surface it was substandard stuff from both teams so a draw was a fair result.
