The timing of the AWs game and our next home game after the licence shark is really unfortunate.

We are the Spurs of Oceania.

Just saw Kane's goal. So much Weemac.

Ernie's comments after the game were a bit weird- "we need someone to put the ball in the net".  Well he subbed one of our key attackers at half time, subbed Roly and didn't bring on Powell who scored off the bench in a recent game...quite odd subs.  I know Sarpong looks like he is struggling a bit but that change did not improve things at all...

He wanted to bring Powell but Gulley was cramping up.

I think it's pretty obvious that the license kerfuffle has affected Roly the most - probably the Jeff as well. He doesn't look happy out there.

irrelevant i think.more to do with him having lumps kicked out of him and shark Aussie refs.

These are all valid points.  I am still wondering though:

- if taking Sarpong off at halftime was a tactical move i.e. he was not injured, then why did we get even more under the pump in the 2nd half?

- was the rain in the first half affecting CCM more than us? Was the wet surface in the 2nd half giving us more trouble than them?

- CCM repeatedly got through our defence on wide wing (both sides) in the 2nd half - would Doyle have done a better job?

- does anybody have a phone number for Boxall?

maybe Ernie 'Cairnsy' Merrick had money on the draw.

Tend to agree with this he has had some shocking treatment this season with little protection from the refs. There was one game where the ref gave warning to the opposition about kicking the shark out of him before any card appeared. Then he picks up a couple of soft yellows for buggar all. He has to be getting PO with it.
