True, but he might want to prove a point.

Actually I think this is wrong.

Our understanding of stem cells and tissue differentiation is not yet at a stage where a human could grow a new organ in such a short space of time.

Whereas it is unlikely yet possible that Ernie could decide to step down for a variety of non-football reasons or perhaps we get drubbed 7-0 and the players revolt.

Therefore nufc's post was incorrect.

I'll say, never underestimate a good goalkeeper. I've seen some miracles pulled off by goalies that plainly defied the laws of physics and physiology as we know them. So in fact the jury may still be out on this one.

The question therefore would be whether it is a hung jury

$5.10 for the first game, $2.25 v Sydney, no odds yet for the third v Heart.  I'd presume most of the big odds is over those two games any case.

$100 multi on the first two, for Nix wins, returns $1,147.50.

The Nix are getting well worth a punt

Hernandez a slight doubt for CCMvWEL. Merrick said he'd roll out the same starting XI. Boyd, Bertos & Ridenton replace Hicks, Boxall & Josh Brindell-South in the squad. Caira remains out of the squad http://www.stuff.co.nz/dominion-post/sport/football/9531186/…

McGlinchey rated 50/50 for CCMvWEL, Griffiths & Anderson out http://www.footballaustralia.com.au/centralcoastmariners/news-display/Moss-names-17-for-Nix/81106…

Must say I am a bit worried about the next 4 days. Ordinarily I would have backed us to beat Del Peiro unUnited in the weekend but the CCM game is really going to put us under strain. Playing 3 games in a week is a real test of the depth of a squad. But depth is exactly what we don't have. If you throw in a few injuries to key players we will struggle to get a combatative 11 on the park.

On the positive side we are way way overdue to give someone a spanking.....no better time than over the nest few days.

Is it true we have never taken a point away to CCM?  Is it also true that it is nearly a year since we one at home at the ROF?

Was that the new years eve game in the 09/10 season? We won 2-0 iirc? And that was the result which kickstarted our run in towards making the playoffs that year.

As the posts above say, we beat CCM about 4 years ago 2-0 over there.
Our last win in Wellington was on 27 December 2012, 3-2 against Melbourne Heart.

No as well.

Definitely no.

I didn't watch all the games since not many covering in my city, but all the games I saw, seems we have the battling quality, but not enough fitness! The fitness level especially in last 10 minutes are always second, we conceded so many late goals although Moss made many world class saves. But if result not go to our way, manager should go.

What's wrong with Alex Rufer? Why he's not in the squad again? We need creative and freshness in midfield!!!

Moss confirmed Daniel McBreen will start againt the Nix. Duke seems to have overcome his flu earlier in the week as he has been 'good in training'. Moss also hinted that Sterjovski & Fitzgerald would replace McGlinchy/Duke if they aren't fit.

I agree, let Merrick finish what he has started. He's got the Phoenix playing good football. Results will come. You're just lacking a good finisher. Remember he took over the wooden spooners, so it was never going to be easy.
