This half has been fantastic.  We look in control and confident.

Most of our opportunities have come from a player having the guts to take one or two defenders on which is something we have looked scared to do for the last few games.

COME ON YOU NIX, WIN ME A PIZZA.

And yeah, we should be up by more. Bit of a worry as this pressing game can't be kept up for 90 mins. Krishna already looked spent.

all the burns haters - yes that shot was aweful but his general play has been quite good.

he missed kicked it and Krish pounced. Perth are awful as well - they are playing like the zombie cast of the Walking Dead.

Definitely, they have been really poor. The test will come when Castro comes on. He invariably carves us up.

Singh has been a massive difference creatively, but to me, the biggest difference is that we seem to be playing with a midfield this week.  Rufer and Mandi are getting on the ball and distributing, and we aren't getting sucked in to having three up front and the rest defending.

Perth have been really terrible. With us pushing our wing-backs forward early on they sat deep and just let us pass it around in a way we haven't been able to all season. Our recent matches maybe lulled them into a false sense of security.

I hope we do try to keep holding onto possession and attacking (within reason) this half.

Burns has been great, but so have most in the 45. Just can't concede early this half, as we haven't proved yet we can do this for 90 against a top side. You'd expect Perth to come out flying.

I forgot they have Santalab. We're doomed

won that free kick why having a left footer bend it away with their high line?

They've just showed how many times Djulobic took the ball off of Burns.

A mention for Fenton - been good so far today. Hope that doesn't jinx him.

His distribution has been very, very good. Every time he kicks it he's looking for someone. Only criticism of Kurto is he usually just boots it

Love watching Castro more than any other player in the league but man I wish I wasn't watching him now.

Rufer has had a shocker of a last 15 mins

Just let that pass through too

Why the heck did we leave Castro alone with 10 metres of space in our half!!!

Jeez we are still pushing very very high eh

Lowry? For Rufer? Assume he'll swap with Kopy. Sigh.

Means we give up midfield and have no control for 20 mins..

Not a fan of this change in shape. Far too long to sit deep and hold on for dear life.

Looks like we've given up on trying to bounce them at speed for a 2nd. The usual sign of a Nix team struggling with self belief.

Is there someone to fix VAR's clear and obvious errors?

A VARAR?

VAR is beyond a joke now. The contrast between the ref not reviewing the potential penalty against Fenton and checking for dangerous play against Lowry when no one from Perth was complaining is ridiculous in the extreme.

Permalink Permalink

And it was inevitable wasn't it. After not blowing for an obvious penalty he now stuffs us with this ludicrous mis-use of VAR.

Rudan can now fully attest to the prevailing refereeing bias against the Nix.
