Perth are going to destroy us! Expect Rudan to want to play full on defensive mode, hoping to steal the game with a counter-attack goal.

Shane is definitely the better brother, played a number of games in the Championship in England.

Oh no. No no no. This game could not have come at a worse time.

And by a worse time I mean it really should not be scheduled at all.

2-1 to the Nix. A lot of our talent is due. We're a better attacking unit than we've shown so far. If that Williams, Burns Krishna combo had made it 2-0 at half time everyone would be back on the belief train intensely right now. This game!

I keep optimisitcally hoping it's going to click every game... so far it just makes it hurt more.

Come on Sunday.

Weenix are playing Southern United, 3pm KO at Newtown Park - finish at 5 enough time to get across town for the Perth game

I have 0 faith in us right now, so I expect a 4-0 thrashing.

Even in the darkest days with Darije I still feel we had it in us to come up with something. Now? Nope.

Last season you knew we were gonna give up goals, but you kind of felt that we might score some too, especially while Vidosic was still here.

This year, we're still giving up goals, but you can't see us even buying one for most part. Makes going to the games very soul destroying.

Except last game we lead 1-0 for most of the first half and lost down to two own goals

Two own goals is that a new A League record in one game?? At least this time Dura wasn't scoring one.

Dosnt really matter they still gave up 3 goals and didnt really look like scoring anymore.Even if Doyle hadnt got his own goals they looked like they may well of scored had he not got the the touch.Think many of us at the start of the season were looking forward to what our attack might produce. That it has been so ineffective is for me a major dissapointment.

Think they are being very kind to Doyle even his reaction shows he maybe thought it was an OG.

I scored two OGs in a game when I was about 13. I'm still traumatized by it today

I don't really see where I said anything about coaching, but if we take the first five games of the season across the last two seasons as a sample, we played better football last season, although we won fewer points (mostly due to chucking leads at home). And we were capable of scoring, we got 6 in the first five games last season compared to 3 this season.

We had a striker and Vidosic. Then we got to complain about our inability to score from 1 on 1s.

We started strong last season and then unravelled. Hoping for the opposite here. And we've looked a threat at set pieces, something we haven't managed for years. Our keeper is saving us a goal a game. We need more from our midfield and attack. Add a goal scorer and have any of our attack find form and we'll be on our way. I hope this is a longer term project- and hope we can support it as fans and that we get something to cheer about soon.

On the field from what we’ve seen, absolutely. Man management is a different story

We played better football when Vidosic Sen was involved... once he left, the football turned completely dire. Don't give credit to Kalezic

That's a pretty simplistic narrative; for example, it completely ignores that in January this year, after Rado had gone, we beat both grand finalists from the last season in a space of about 2-3 weeks.

I'd say that rather than having this playground discussion of this coach is better than that coach, the real big issue is that over the last three years, we've had 5 different managers (if you count both Des and Greenie), a few different players (and some same ones too) yet no-one was able to build a successful team.

A constant feeling of uncertainty is a big part of it IMO. No security for anyone.

A manager who can reward the Manny, Siggies and Ifills with long contracts gets a settled more focused squad.

We have to move away from Five at the back and Two defensive midfielders. That's Eight players spending most of the game in our own defensive third. The remaining Three players cannot control the midfield and attack to score goals.
