1-1 last game (R2) away.  This time back at the RoF (finally) - the home of football in NZ.

Enough promise to date and we have used up our quota of bad mojo so are due a big dollop of the good stuff.

Smesh 'em!

It's something that every other team in the A-League has apparently.

How can the New Zealand Phoenix have  a home?  They have to tour the country.

wore my Retro Ricki for first time this week to celebrate the start of the Wellington Phoenix season

that other shit was some fucked up "NZ Phoenix" pre-season

and look how well it worked in terms of crowds and results

oh well, now that the club is back I expect I'll start wearing Nix gear again each weekend and fever friday's like I used too

Yeah I a bit sad about the loss of the relevance of the Retro Ricki, What about "Imminent Ernie?"

Might pay for someone to mention to the new lads, before the game, when the "who are ya" chant goes up it's meant for the WSW players and isn't a cue for them to introduce themselves to their Wellington supporters.

We should get some song sheets printed for this game.

I hear we have some Kosta Ricans and a Spaniard in the team this season.

Wonder who will be the obligatory scapegoat?

Muscat or Lia?

What's the minimum crowd we need to draw to get awarded another game next season do you think?

Hard to say.  But Wellingtonians are notorious for being "walk up" crowds.  Any idea how many of the travelling YF crew will make it to Wgtn this weekend?

We haven't got our plane tickets in time but we'll probably drive.

I'm guessing a fair portion of the crowd will be travelling yellow fever. More of them seem to make this trip for some reason.

I see Emmanuel Muscat is on 4 yellow cards.  If he picks one up in this game that will be 10 mins in the sin bin and will put us on the back foot.

He really needs to maintain discipline for the full 80 mins, or Ernie has to make good use of his interchange.

AND: GO THE WELLINGTON PHOENIX FC!!!

It's ok J82, if he does go to the bin we should probably use our power play at that time to restrict all but 2 of the WSW players to being inside the centre circle for 2 overs.

yeah I heard that. 4 in 6 games. He needs to sort himself. Our discipline this year has been better actually but he needs to sort himself.

I've been a seasoned ticket holder since 2007 and not missed many but I've never understood why we play in this league and not a big one like the Champions League? I'm fairly sure we would get a few more fans and yellow fever persons turn up if we did

To celebrate the arrival of the A-League's Best Supporters EVER back to Wellington there should be Reverse Shirts Off Poznan after 80mins!

That is how you'll tell us apart from the R&B Block travelling fans.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

Due to its unique oval shape I understand it is also the No#1 Cricket surface in Wellington/NZ as well.

I wonder where the team is staying and training while they are visiting Wellington.

Could you be a good opportunity to meet the local fans while they are here.

People might think that WSW have the most intimidating atmosphere at home games but I reckon we've got that sewn up. A misty post-industrial ghost town is much scarier than a large crowd enjoying a nice day out in the sun. We should get some creepy organ music playing over the stadium PA to really freak them out.

Imagine if the Victory or Sydney City had to take three games away from their home base. No way would their fans entertain that idea.

And I don't mean a few miles down the road but 2 to 3 hundred kms away.

The Nix have been around long enouh now to have established a following. Doing the circus trick is now showing a decline in numbers supporting it. Time for GM and others to work on increasing the local fan base.
