Injury time on some of these cods. If they are going to behave like that, really hurt them

eidt: sorry this is an out of line call from a former defender!

I'm liking the passion from Roly, now use it on the ball....

we'll start getting calls when we start playing well IMO

hear, hear Travis Dodd- part of being a pro is not letting the ref and the crowd get to you.

It is almost like we haven't had a preseason, we have no idea how to pass accruately to each other in the final 3rd of the field

Who knows. Why the fudge is Watson out wide on the left. Nothing makes sense anymore.

Merrick's insistence on having Lia playing 90 minutes as an 'enforcer' is going to kill us this season.

FFS joke defending even if it was a hand ball!

that goal will do it. Im switching over to see  if the black caps can come back.  Defending is too terrible to watch

The team looks like it needs a left back, a mobile defensive midfielder and someone who can put a ball into the box.

Need a marketing genius to put a good spin on this to get a decent crowd in Hamilton next weekend.  FFS

We are the Phoenix, we play teams into form

It's funny how this was identified as earlier as last year and we ended up with 30,000 more attacking midfielders who play the same position.

The only way they will get over 3k is pre-sales prior to the last few weeks. People are extremely critical of performance here, the very definition of fair weather fans.

After today I wouldn't have bought a ticket.

I honestly don't think Parkhouse (as LB) has been the problem, he had a decent game.

Absolutely painful. Get Merrick to fudge. Need someone new to rejuvenate this squad, and someone not imposing a single system on the team and setting rules such as only shoot inside the box. We can't get any decent balls into the box anyway FFS.

Just utter sharke.

Same old same old ,too much fannying about just outside the box no one with bottle to have a crack, its almost as if they have been over coached and any killer instinct trained out of them, way too intricate and over elaborate ,no mongrel.

Surely time for a new coach, the WellNix must be concerned?

Ugh. It's late and I've had enough. Next three games are definately winnable - CCM, WSW and Newcastle. Let's hope Merrick mixes it up, Watson to start for one.

Every games winnable,we need a winning mentality!

This game was as winnable as it gets, we got awarded a soft pen and have had all the possession.

And Watson as a number 9 too. Seems bizzare to have him running the lines.

basics, like have a pen taker with some technique, cost us that game.

Disappointing show to say the least. I would think this team should be capable of better performance than what I saw tonight.

The only word that comes to my mind is impotence, and tonight it seems to be a defining word of the Ernie era. A good manager of players but it does not translate into good results on the pitch.

Actually, getting outplayed quite a bit these days

The problem is the midfield and how they link up with our strikers. Parkhouse is okay - I would want to keep him around but probably use him in midfield.

If some of the so called stars showed half Watsons passion and willingness to work we just might get some decent results. Wonder just when Merrick is going to come under the same scrutiny Herbert had to face.

Shooting has been trained out of them, way too intricate  with lots of ticky tacky pretty passing but no shooting allowed  unless your almost in the six yard box, great when it comes off and much more palatable and easy on the eye than Herbert hoofball but when its not working and a player such as Enrique comes along you will be destroyed !
We did out muscle them in the first half and should have buried the penalty, not sure what Krishna was trying to do but that was meat and drink to a professional keeper.
Going to be a long season now!

If you look at performances for a third of the season can anyone get more than 5/10 other Than Moss

Normo's coming home

Would take some of Herberts hoofball over some of the shark we have been served up the last couple of seasons.Seem to recall his hoofball has us a fortress and some regular playoffs.Guess that Welnix total football and a travelling circus will at least get us the FFA  required metrics.Yeah right.

Dhark i hate football and cricket some days

I would bench all the 'stars', there useless, bring on some of the wenix players, they know how to grind out results, at least they would loose fighting. We are fudgeing last on the ladder, again. I think Ernie had to re-invent himself pretty quick or someone has to pull the plug. This is all spiraling downwards.
