Yeah, I thought my suggestion of signing Les Ferdinand was perfectly reasonable.

Let's face it, if every discussion that was talking a load of bollocks was locked, 95% of threads on this site would be shut down.

And Les is a great shout, but would you play him up front with Rooney or Torres?

He'd go really well with Torres....

Great idea, use Les as the target man and Torres pace to latch on to the knock downs and flick ons, we'd crucify every team in the league, do you think Ricki has thought of this, if not if anyone's got his mobile number I'll give him a shout and pass on our advice.  Thanks for your support el_grapadure, I'm glad someone else takes this team seriously.

No worries DLB. The genius bit about signing Les is that he can then influence the rest of the family to come down to, and with Rio and Anton we'll have the best defence in the league as well. Not only that, but after we win the O-league we'll go to the CWC and have a pretty good shot of winning it.el grapadura2008-01-22 10:13:41

When Ricki goes to Man U to replace the jock time lord, you're my first choice as replacement.  Not only a great footballing brain but obvious man management skills.

Does that mean we'll get Franz as well?

Maybe they can pen us a theme tune?

Yep, we're getting Franz too, both the band and the Austrian prince who got his head blown off.

The more Ferdinands the merrier.

Once we have enough Ferdinands, we can change the name of the club to Ferdinand United.

Hmm, maybe it's time to lock this thread too....

Be interesting seeing the Ferdinands tottering round in gaudy gold high heels.

I think Ferenc Puskas playing off Nandor Hidegkuti, with Hidegkuti as a deep lying centre forward might be a better option... TheJam2008-01-23 07:45:30

Just for Bobdylan. Leo Bertos, it'd be a riddiculous signing cause he's "sh*t."

ME thats right if you are talking ridiculous signing my details 53 years old, the more kindly would call me portly, still play defenive mid holding the ball directing the play.

Can give ref a bit of check when needed, good at the needle in the match.

So Rickie just sent email and fare and i will be right over. If the budget will allow then Roonet & Torres

Im really undecided about Daniel, as unpopular as this may be, Im not sure he brings as much to the team as everyone says.  Admittedly when he does deliver he does so in style and Im aware that hes one of the leagues leaders in the assist stats.  However, he does give the ball away a lot, he does go down too easily, he sometimes overcomplicates play with Brazilian flair tricks and flicks and discipline is a problem.  How much more could he deliver if only he was more consistent?  I guess to me Daniel is like a box of chocolates, you never know what youre gonna get.

To stay in line with the topic though, of course hell be dropped when we sign Glen Hoddle.

Yes if you ignore my previous post he can hold the centre of the park and direct play.

I hear from my sources that Pele has just agreed to terms with the Phoenix, and Ricki is currently in talks with Robin van Persie and Manu Vatuvei loyalgunner2008-01-23 21:47:43

Pfft. Marco van Basten is quitting as the Dutch coach after EURO 2008, and my source tells me he's signed a 2-year deal with the Phoenix.

What do you mean pfft? Ricki said to me over the phone that there is about a 80% chance of us securing van Persie before the weeks end.

Only problem is RvP is only good for about half the games in a season.

Means I'd rather have MvB than RvP playing for the Nix. After all, Marco is one of the greatest goal scorers ever...

I understand from a very reliable source tha Ricki has convinced Bobby Moore to come back from the dead and sign a two year contract.

There is also talk (although this is only rumour) that Ricki will return from Europe via South America and will be busting Maradonna out of rehab with the view to signing him on a 30 year deal.

Surely a 30 year deal is for too long
