Poor guy. They've gone through some tough times recently with being forced to be in different countries due to covid, really sad.

That photo was from the awards night just two weeks ago, so it seems sudden.

Holy hell - just heard that Uli's wife passed away last night. RIP to Lily, and deepest condolences to Uli and his family. Thoughts and prayers to the family.

has it been reported anywhere? She literally gave birth to their son in March, so something major must have happened?

Posted on both the Nix and McArthur social media accounts, so you would assume that means it's verified. Truly awful for DaVila and his kid. RIP Lily, and condolences to Ulises and family.

Absolutely devastated for Uli and his family. Young family and half way around the world, hopefully Macarthur and the PFA look after him at this terrible time.

If my memory is correct his dad also passed and he had to return to Mexico near the end of his time at the Nix?

Oh, boy that's tough.  Sad news.  

Never met them, but our players become part of our extended whanau playing for the 'Nix.  Best wishes to Uli and family.
