Ah well, I thought that we did enough to earn a point there, but that is football.

Unlucky.

And on a side note, this is Bosnich: "Dribble. Dribble dribble dribble dribble. Dribble dribble heh heh heh dribble."
I like tautologies because I like them.

what the hell was durante and sigmund doing with that 2nd goal? absolutely stranded. first goal was week as sh*t as well. it seems all the goals we conceded are our own fault as opposed to opposition brilliance, which makes losing a game like this especially sh*t.

Best away game all season, just really unlucky.
I really really don't like Pav, he wasn't very good tonight, and he seems like the type of player that wants a lot of glory and doesn't pass much.

Ohwell, we'll win against the Jets, so its okay.

Definitely shouldn't have taken Big Mac off. Greenacre should have been the first to go. Did nothing.

Yet again we put in a decent performance away from home, miss a few decent chances, but ultimately lose. How many times can this happen? How many goals have we scored away this season? Is it even double figures??

On the replay I thought Ward's effort for the first goal was really quite poor.

Pav is a one man team. It doesn't seem like he thinks to pass....

Ah, football can be a cruel game sometimes. Thought we'd hang on for a point. Ah well, onwards and upwards.

p.s. Pavlovich is twice the donkey that D-Mac is.

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Blame it on the many vodka stained nights he spends at Courtney place...
Footballs like that sometimes, The extra emotional significance of this game for the Brisbane players probz got them the result in the end..

Yip.  A faster one.  But, yeah.  A professional footballer's arsehole.  We really do need some strike power for next season.

Ferk!!!!!

We played a superb tactical game. Everyone did their bit. We just could'nt get that goal. two goals in the last 6 minutes was absolutely gut wrenching. You have to hand it to Rickie.....his tactics just about worked. We deserved a point just for effort.

I sure hope the lads still have some petrol in the tank for the Jets.

Why do we always leave it to the arse end of the season before we start playing properly? If we had been playing like we have for the last month from seasons start we would be top 4

meritorious performance for 80+ minutes, we were always guna get tired at the end
any pts today would have been a bonus, lets get home and f*ck the jets up

yeah a bit hard done by
I thought Pav was going to protect his handsome face from a Roar boot for the handball freekick.

I'd whinge and moan more but then I remembered I'm supporting the team who choose Iron Hoof, Running and Jumping, Chasing and Sweating over passing, ball control and creative.

We need to hammer the Jets, if only to make Culina angry. Or more angry.

Go the Phoenix.

i have to say i think herbert killed our momentum there. we had an in-form, winning side and we chose to rest rojas and ward.

PLEASE dont play pavlovic again. in fact give him the boot along with daniel and toto

Let me whinge and moan for you.

Hard done by my arse.  Same old, same old and we were found wanting when it mattered away from home as always.  Our away form simply doesn't justify a place in the play offs.  What's the point?  We'll be away from home anyway and it'll be over before it begins.

How can one team be so continuosly excellent at home and so consistently mediocre away?  Totally baffling and frustrating.

pretty much this

about our improved form having Lochy back and Manny in mid explains a lot of that imo

plus D-mac finding some form and Rojas doing an Ifill

yip agreed, great commitment tactically. disappointed but was a superb effort and a real surprise, everytime i watch the away games it seems we have no gameplan, today it was clear. Well done, shame about the deflection that opened the flood gates up.

Botafogo - Rio de Janeiro and Wellington Phoenix, my two teams til death do us part.

I thought it was a wonderful effort from a striped down team. I agree with the park the bus attitude and it should have worked. If not for a unfortunate deflection we should have a point out of that game. Extremely frustrating. Another frustrating thing is the attitude of the general non educated public bitching on the facebook page. God damn, some guy said that they should be able to be rested after sunday as they are paid to be able to do that?!?!?!

Actually, shame about the foul that was given to enable the opportunity in the first place.Seemed pretty innocuous to me.
Agree it was great to see Ricki and co tactically on the money for the first 80 mins.
More accurate service to Rojas and ball retention would have helped in the last 10 to keep the action back in their box and sow the seeds of doubt with their tired players. If only....

Never mind...roll on Sunday.

I don't see how anyone can whinge about that loss. An unlucky deflection kills us off with 5 to go, apart from that I thought Ricki's tactics and subs were pretty much spot on to earn a good point or even pinch it late on.

I can't even moan about Pavlovic. If one of his speculators had been deflected in he'd be a hero. At least he had enough pace to threaten to get in behind them.

Very hard to defend for 90m. Seemed to be working for a time. Had the Roar scored early they might have ripped us to pieces.
There should not be any excuses-deflection etc. They were by far the better side.
We were lucky to end up with 11 players on the park.
Apart from getting booked, did Tim do anything?
It defies belief that we are so different at home.
Thank heavens we are at Westpac next game.
