Me and Vickmiest spotted the Victory training yesterday and I gave them a few "who are yas!" to make them tremble with fear and standing next to us was Marco's dad. We had a chat for a bit, seems a very nice guy, I asked him about the switch to the Victory and he said it was purely down to developing Marco as a player.
He also spoke of hitting the next level with Europe being a possibility.
Did not mind having a chat with us, nice guy. Hope his boy has a shocker though and we told him so.

At the start of the season, he was good on the ball but couldn't find players to pass it to, because Kewell etc were not in the correct place. Then he got dropped to the bench and even out of the squad for much of the middle of the season, and was ineffectual when he was on the field.
He has started to find his form again lately, Magilton has had him in the starting XI. Running on the ball again and taking on and beating players.

Also, I think the A-League defenders had him worked out more. Because he is small, players started using their size to just push him off the ball knowing they wouldn't concede a foul.

It didn't come across that they where p*ssed off that things had not worked out. I got the impression that the Victory is just a stepping stone for bigger things.

Has played more minutes, but would have played even more here.
No goals and only two assists is poor if you ask me.
I presume you have to add Attempts on Goal and Attempts on Target together to get Total Attempts. If so, he's had roughly the same attempts at goal but his ratio has probably gone down given the extra minutes he's played. And he's definitely become less accurate in those attempts.
