I'm a nix supporter living in Melbourne, and I read in the Herald Sun today....

THE signing of Wellington Phoenix youngster Marco Rojas may not be a cut-and-dried affair for Victory.

Despite reports and a Phoenix statement, Merrick yesterday denied Victory had secured the attacking midfielder.

"We have not signed any new player. I can tell you we haven't signed any player for Melbourne Victory Football Club," he said.

Pretty strong language from Merrick. Maybe Dad/agent has jumped the gun...said something he shouldn't of or maybe there is some game playing going on??
Whatever is happening...we may not of heard the last of this story...

best troll effort ever....although it did has some truth to it, in that Victory seem to be Rodi's favoured option.

Queenslander 3x a year.

Signing players before the Fury folded wouldn't have been particularly wise- the value of all a-league players has just dropped. If you believe the phoenix is also threatened, that should also have the affect of further depressing wages with less places open.
