Smoke coming out of the drum could be an awesome stroke there Patrick. Yellow smoke?

Did you see those drums at [was it the Bejing olympics opening?] that had water spraying out as they were being beaten. Replicate that with smoke from Patrick's drum.

Exactly Napier. I remember an MTV clip where they had glitter on the guys drums that went everywhere too.

Proud to have attended the first 175 Consecutive "Home" Wellington Phoenix "A League" Games !!

I thought it was great, but I noticed that people around me weren't too keen on it, and I can understand why. Not everyone wants to get a face full of (all be it safe) smoke. Would it be possible to try and replicate the smoke machines at the entrance way that shoot it straight up, or even set it up higher even? Either way I would have it back!

Suspect it'll get tweaked it slightly and moved a little bit closer to the drum, so the people immediately around it are the ones who are more keen on it.

Pass it to the left IMO

Funny, I spent a lot of the game on Saturday yelling that very thing at the team :D

Obviously the main reference isn't lost on me

The yellow definitely seemed less intrusive than the black too so maybe we suggest that's a better choice for in the crowd.

You are linking drum enjoyers with smoke enjoyers... fair enough.

my 2 cents from last home game.....

Phoenix flame is awesome, get 4 of them and put one in each corner.

Smoke was good, like to see more of that around too, rather than just one corner, but concede you'll probably want enough of the ground 'smoke free' for those people

Great to see ( or rather, not hear) that they weren't blaring obnoxious music between plays. I did notice some between curtain raiser and main match, which wasn't too much of an issue, although I still  think it was louder that pleasant.

Enjoy tonight those that can get there...
