2017/18 Transfer Speculation

I don't think we need a new keeper, I think we need to rotate more often between Italiano and Smith, to keep the former on his toes and give the latter experience.
Im sorry but, in my opinion, that is a terrible suggestion. What good does it to do our awful defense to have two keepers rotating? It would give the defenders, fans, rest of the team and the keepers themselves, zero confidence.
Goalkeeper's arguably the most important part of a solid defence as he is supposed to give out a large amount of orders.. defence would turn into an even worst shambles if we were chopping and changing to give one 'experience' and keep the other on his toes. Italiano is/should be already on his toes; he's just an awful keeper

He did it once and it gave me heart palpatations. Could've quite easily gone the same as Smith's if WSW's player was more switched on.
Djulbic's contract at Victory is up. Wouldn't mind seeing him in a Nix shirt.

Quintessential A-League journeyman - quite similar to Mullen. Not the most skilled, but puts in 100% every game.

We really need to get a move on though, we've already only got less than two weeks to ditch 3 players and find their replacements. at this stage I reckon we'll only get rid of one, maybe two
Dino ranks 8.5 out of 10 on my Ben Sigmund scale. He is uncompromising, tough, very committed, and similarly skilled. He gets more red cards than Siggy ever did though. IIRC he was the first player redcarded against us in the inaugural year.

Dino's 34. I think not.

Dino looks miles slower than anyone else of the pitch the other week.
Are we sure Rossi is leaving?
I'd be very surprised if he doesn't. And the last couple of early subs surely won't have helped either.
He's a good defender but he doesn't seem that fussed at the moment and I'll be perfectly fine if he leaves provided we sign a foreign CB who is better and gives a damn. Kaludjerovic, Paracki and Ljujic have all been great signings, and if a Rossi replacement is another Balkan from a lower league in Europe I trust DK's judgement that he'll be a good player
Another Serbian that's a quick but solid Center Back that takes no nonsence.

So theoretically speaking, if the 4+1 visa system means we can use the +1 on an OFC player, and if Krishna gets NZ citizenship, does that mean we would be obliged to bring in another OFC player? Would it be legal to just have 4 visa players or is it an actual requirement for there to be at least one AFC/OFC player in the squad with the new visa system?
Is Rossi disinterested or just a cool character? I think he tends to make things look easy and that shouldn't necessarily mean we interpret that as not giving a rats arse.

and he'd be close to retiring by then would he not?

I'm hearing that we, along with WSW, are interested in Lass Bangoura. Currently only 25 and plays as a winger in the Spanish second tier for Rayo Vallecano - his footballing peak was however in his late teens and early twenties, when Real Madrid tried to sign him and he was tearing up La Liga every week. Kinda fallen off since then but still marquee quality. Not sure why we're looking at a winger (Parkhouse out?), especially since our visas are full, but he can play in centre midfield as well
Edit: Just read that Barcelona wanted to sign him in 2015 lol

Already signed according Wikipedia, hah. Could be a good signing if he's still interested in football and not another Sarpong. But who could be leaving? I wouldn't trade him for Krishna....

wow thats big news. I hope its not Krishna...Maybe Rossi is on the move? btw transfermarkt dont have him as a nix player and i normally trust that over wiki...
If you look at Wikipedia history an anonomous user changed him to WSW on the 14th then on the 16th the same (or another) anonymous user changed him to Phoenix. Both IP addresses are Australian.
Either someone working on speculation, or his Australian agent trying to fuel speculation. Either way seems an odd position to be signing a foreigner in.

This season, NOTHING would surprise me anymore.
Where/Who/What is linking us to this guy? There's no way in hell he's coming unless Roy or Rossi go. If Roy doesn't re-sign with the nix he definitely has the class to at least see out the season. If Rossi goes we wouldn't sign a marquee winger when we have Burns and Krishna, plus we would then need a replacement centre back. All sounds a bit bullshark to me. I'd love to have him, he's a fudgeing good player but we don't need him or have the room for him
Krishna again didn’t looked too thrilled after scoring v jets....
Watto is starting for the WeeNix, so the trial obviously didn't result in an immediate offer. No Lowry, he has been a Weenix regular but hasn't been sighted the last few games I think?
Been reading these runours and i wouldn't be surprised if krishna leaves for a big deal in China etc (hence why we are being linked to rumours re forward replacements). I think it'd most likely at the end of this season... He might as well cash in while he's still got it.. set himself and his family up.

The way it looks now on Wikipedia is that all has been reversed to the status quo (Rayo Vallecano until June 2020).
Possibly an agent (or even a WSW supporter?) was trolling.
If WSW could not accommodate his wages demands, I would be surprised if Welnix did.

With a week to go until Feb its starting to seem pretty unlikely that we'll end up offloading anyone. Don't think we'll let someone go without a replacement, and its hard to see that happening in the next 7 days. Lowry won't be bought (and might be injured), Watto's trial didn't go well. The only player who might have a shot at an A-League club is Abbas - maybe a squaddie for Perth or CCM - but unlikely to see DK's initial January plan of signing three new players in each line with "experience and quality"
still plenty of time for that to happen, could be some last minute transactions.
