So the most obvious transfer is a new head coach, on which, all other transfers depend.
Damned if I know who that might be though.

We've had solid foundations for the last three years... we need a big year this year, simple.

We have to have bigger crowds, more tv viewers and better results.

This starts with a hiring a known quantity as a coach and the owners finally shelling out for a marquee - we need a rebrand of sorts to bring an air of positivity back to the club and build some excitement.

Anyone know what's happened to Adam Sarota?

Wikipedia has his last club as Go Ahead Eagles in 2016.

Would be good to have him compete with Vinnie and wouldn't take up a visa spot

Haven't we been there before when Ernie was appointed and we had Carlos Hernandez arriving? That didn't work out so well :)

So big shake up for the Phoenix.

Any plans for a shake up at the Fever?

Shake it up baby now? Song sheets?

This surely has to get sung.  Phoenix Fever Anthemby YellowFeverBoys

Would be wicked if we could get players that could do this sort of thing .... Flip throw to header assist sets up bicycle kick shot in goal of the year contender

He was rather average for the Roar last season but had expected someone to give him another chance but no one did.

Glad to see we're all staying positive..

Obviously the only thing changing for next season is the new league.

Yea definitely understand that. And all credit to the Phoenix for being understanding around whatever these issues are.

Just strikes me as odd that I've never once seen it in the leagues/teams I follow, yet there's been 2 in a short space of time at the Phoenix, and unfortunately the lack of actual detail does leave room for speculation.

My other team Plymouth Argyle, let our Striker David Goodwillie go in January for personal reasons.  Big difference though being that everyone knows he left to defend his name after a Scottish judge held up a civil rape accusation against him with no firm evidence being produced.

Not a big loss for us but it does happen outside of the Nix.  Still feel that Tratt will be playing A-League next season.

Media reports after Sat's game said Lia had played his last game for the Nix. Has that been confirmed?

Well if he has had an offer elsewhere would frankly be silly turning it down and hoping the new coach offers him a contract.Despite noises coming out of the Phoenix is any one really confidant they are going to get this right they just dont seem to get it.

Way past time they invested in making sure the team is successful then think about doing all the other bits.Does seem they have taken their focus on what should have been the main  thing they got right.Making sure your team is succesful everything else will hopefully follow.

Selling all his stuff on Facebook group "Vic Deals" so if history of players selling TVs on Trade Me is anything to go by he is going!

Also Italiano is selling up all his stuff on the page as well.

I would be very sorry to see Vinnie go. He played with heaps of heart last night. We need someone to set that example.

Yeah, me too, he's the heart of this team now. Rightfully criticised for certain performances, but he's been the only one who has consistently got stuck in this season.

It's on facebook. Doing a bit of face stalking it seems he sells stuff on Vic deals pretty regularly, although not so much at once.

He may have been given the keys to Smeltzy's flat now that he (Smeltz) left for SE Asia.

Sign Thomas Broich on a 1 year deal?

Disappointed Lia is selling his stuff. He should have been charitable and donated it to St Vinnie's...

I listen to an interview with Broich who said (with a smile) that he'd stay at Brisbane for as long as they're happy to keep him.

No. We already have one aging star who already had his best years at another A-League club.

Press release yesterday was that he had left the roar and was looking at other teams.

I have it on reasonably good authority that no offers are on the table for either Vinnie or Mossy, but they're not willing to sit on their hands and wait for new coaches to decide whether they're worth a new contract or not, so they're both looking further afield to get some certainty on their futures.

Same person also said that Moss to South Africa was 100% fabricated and there's no basis to it and that Tratt is home simply because he's "homesick" and is likely to join another A-League team ASAP.

Yeah there may have been more to it that they didn't want to tell me but they certainly indicated that they didn't think he'd acted in good faith and said he hadn't enjoyed living in Wellington. There could well be more to it but the person definitely knows what they're talking about.

This is a tough area to comment on given there is a void of information and players should be allowed a right to privacy. Having said that, I've heard a completely different story and that the player and the club are both gutted about the circumstances (not criminal and anything behavioural).

The reason why Tratt has left will likely rule him out of top level football for at least the next season, perhaps longer. That said, he deserves a level of privacy, so beyond saying that Tratt had no issues with the club, city, players or staff there's not much more than should be stated publically.
