I've had a few mates of mine telling me that some members are
making a deal about others sitting in their allocated seats in the
Fever Zone. I am hoping the majority of us have some sense and
don't make a deal out of not "sitting" in your allocated seat. It's
like bloody terracing anyway.
Just get over it, enjoy the game and support the team
yea?

Thats how it should be... unfortunately you always get the
dipsticks that want to sit with a mug of tea surrounded by 200
signing drunk blokes.

Wrong folks. If someone has purchased a seat they should have
first right to it. Feel free to squeeze in a few extras but
first refusal on a spot should always go to those that paid for
it.
As far as we're concerned that's the official Fever policy. Anything else causes conflict and a chance for someone over-officious to start policing allocated seating in the whole zone.

And hence we get seperation of all the people standing up into little sub-groups.

In an ideal world Benny it wouldn't be allocated seating, but it is
so people need to be understanding about the situation.
If some people got in early and got the seats they wanted, and have made sure they got a season ticket they shouldn't be penalised because others haven't and they chose to neck an extra at the Backbencher.
It's a pretty simple matter of courtesy.

bang on mr news sir.
I managed to round up a crew of 14 to come along tomorrow
night, we're up the back of the fever zone, and would like to hang
together, we'll be asking for our seats, but if people want to
stand with no worries! It's what it's all about yeh?
greater good and all that.

Dont get people wanting to sit down in the middle of the Fever Zone... I'll gladly move for any fan who wants to stand and chat where he normally does - but less so for people who are gonna sit down in the middle :@

maybe i'm misunderstood, we wont be seated!! but will be
lookin to stand there. football sitting down? i think
not!

Well said Hard News
We just talked about this at lunch, and will mention in the
Pandemic.
We dont want individuals to get peeved off, as it will all go
pear shaped and we will ALL loose out.
Some people (like me) got in early doors for a season ticket
and choose where I wanted to be.
No idea if I have been standing there as I have been drunk,
but if I couldnt get into the FeverZone due to necking an extra
beer at the BB and arriving to find the whole zone full and some
johnny-come-lately standing in my seat, then I would be a little
peeved and I would say "Oi, you, no!" then probably get the red
mist and start slide tackling people where my seat is.
Thus the message is - have courtesy for other Feverites. If
you end up standing where someone else has a ticket, and they ask
you to move, then do it, otherwise it will just cause
trouble.
Make sure you give them a friendly "Who are ya?" as you walk
away.

There are a few spare singles though Benny. Just make sure
you get in early if you are coming down. How is the plan for
car pooling going ?

We've got four season ticket seats all together in the middle of
the Zone - anyone deciding thats their spot for the match and not
moving when politely asked will find themselves heading a few rows
closer to the front!!!
I have 8 friends who've bought single match tickets to be in front of us and another 5 right behind us so there are plenty of available tickets on a match by match basis for you to specify when you buy. Its not that hard - really.
If you're in someone else's seat then you need to find another spot when asked to move - thats just the way it is!

I have a feeling its all going to go a bit tits up when Mr Beckham
plays. As there will be no spare seats and everyone will have to
sit in their proper seat, so breaking up the "mosh pit" into
smaller groups ??????
Just a thought

when you buy single tickets its not hard to get them in the fever
zone, just buy them a few days before the game and your sweet.

Top notch post Coxey.
Look do we have to go over this again?
I'm missing the Sweeney FFS.
I've lived in NZ for about 5 years and have been dreaming of
having a football team to support. I and others I know bought a
bunch of season tickets really early on. I've spent a sh*t load on
replica strip, baseball caps, etc...
If I choose to have another beer at the BB before
the match then thats my choice, I should not have to
argue with some t**ser who I've never seen before telling him to
get out of my seat which has happened. Its my seat I work for it I
expect to stand in it.
I was the first person to start singing "come on phoenix" when
we went one down at the last home game. I was also one of the few
Fever crew to stay behind and applaud the boys when they left the
pitch, even though they lost. I am not a friggin prawn
sandwich-eater!
Anyone read the Sydney forum? There are people there who get
threatened with a kicking if they want to stand/sit in their own
seats. Do we really want to go down that route?
recap:
Piss off - its my seat I paid for it.
We are not other teams/supporters we are the Fever and we
support the Phoenix, we have a massive Hippy love-thang going on
don't you know, that pisses on anything else that other teams call
a fanbase.

I happened to buy my game tickets today and got two in Row M ,
which is not bad i guess considering its near the middle of Aisle
21 ... last home game we were in Row N, and some older folk had
bought tickets just behind us, and they sat down for 5 minutes
while most of the Aisle were standing up, they realised asking us
to sit down wasn't going to work, so they stood up for the whole
game .... :)

Let's face it, anyone buying a ticket in block 21 knows they are
going to be caught up in the Fever Zone , so they shouldn't expect
to sit down. It a noisey area where most fans choose to stand and
sing. There's plenty of seats in blocks 19, 20, 22, 23 all with
good views.
I do agree though that people should not be occupying seats
purchased by someone else and if asked, yes they should move and
respect that persons money.
Who knows, maybe the Fever Zone may spread to blocks 19 &
20 with a bit of luck. They might look like the Kop behind the
Liverpool goal then, rather than on the corner.
Whatever happens, just keep up with the noise lads/ladess's,
it awesome to hear in block 23.

I wonder if they really do know what they are getting themselves into - At the Melbourne game there was an elderly couple behind me in Row Q, again they ended up having to stand most the game.
I wonder if when they phone up - they are asked - do you want Aisle 21 - they go 'Yeah sure', then find themselves in the middle of the YF zone. I'm worried it might be putting some of our more aged supporters off.
Perhaps we should ask ticketek to double check people want YF zone tickets by indicating the type of support found there.
When Hibs, went up, to win the Scottish Cup - I wisnae there - furfuxake!

Hang on Fortean, no beef withthe seat thing, but I would say
upwards of a hundred of us (perhaps 200) cheered the lads off after
the Jets (I know it should be thousands , but nonetheless it
was more than a few!)

Interesting how its the people who DIDN'T spend $184 on a season
ticket (or didn't get in as soon as the tickets went on sale) who
think people should get over it when others are in their seat.
respect the fact that some people bought a seat in the fever zone and if they turn up with their season pass, find somewhere else, and don't complain about it

Anyone in aisle 22 row A ?- Thats where my season ticket is, and i still havent gotten to know many of the feverites around me.

Hold on, thought the Yellow Fever zone was aisle 21?!

22 in theory.
What seat number Uber ? I'm BB. Pretty sure Feverish and JD and Co. are AA so somewhere near you.

I'm going to make sure I get there real early next game, cause my
seat is 22 row L which is right in the middle of it and I'm sure
that seat will get taken, but if I get there early enough it wont.

There were a LOT of YF in aisle 21 in the last game i went, and I
thought YFZone was aisle 22, so im not sure what was goin on there
hehe, unless the YF in 22 were down in the front of 21 or standing
with the rest and left the seats behind

It's 21 and 22 really. The core are in BB, AA, A, 100(ish) so
you can either go up or to either side. 21 is sort of the
next step towards a whole end.

The Yellow Fever area is really in between Aisles 21 and 22 - if
you enter through Aisle 21, go right, through 22, go left.
My season ticket is in CC, and I just know that one of these days Feverish is going to tumble down and land on top of me...
