If Sky dont think it will rate they don't have to but it, that is their business decision to make. I am shocked that NZF would even price themselves to a point where Sky would question it.

It may encourage people within the Auckland region to go along I suppose.  But sucks for people like me who can't afford to go.

Intesting though when I think of other times of the day all white games have been played and they think this one won't rate.  After all we did play against Mexico at 3pm on a week day and they still bought the rights.

Not as serious as the lack of AW coverage but anyone else with MySky getting consistent "atmospheric conditions" blank-out most channels in mid /late afternoon every sunny clear day lately?

I recorded the live coverage of the Nix game yesterday but the first half was missing ...then re-recorded the replay at 2pm this arvo ...only got 46 mins worth. Is it sun spot activity or just my reception?

My experience was that MySky failed to record Nix game: 'Failed: No signal [21]' error.  I don't often record shows in the afternoon, so can't judge whether or not it's something which often happens at that time of day.  Gold Coast match later that evening recorded ok.

TelstraClear had an outage on Sunday afternoon, but I receive SKY satellite, so I don't know whether there was something related causing both.

Ive had times when I lose quitea few channels due to 'rain fade' even though its sunny outside, normally ring Sky up and they take me through this process of re-aligning the satelitte dish....seems to work though..get channels back

More often when it occurs for us its the HD channels or live programming.Pre-recorded ones sometimes show up during those "atmospheric" periods.

NZF sign All Whites deal with Sky TV New Zealand Football have signed a four match deal with Sky Television to broadcast All Whites home games in New Zealand.

February 16, 2012

AUCKLAND New Zealand Football have signed a four match deal with Sky Television to broadcast All Whites home games in New Zealand.

The deal includes this months ASB Summer International against Jamaica and three World Cup qualifiers in Stage 3 of Oceania qualifying assuming New Zealand progress past Stage Two the OFC Nations Cup in June this year.

The Stage Three matches home and away ties between the top four nations from Stage two will be played in the upcoming October, November and March FIFA windows, with the winner progressing to an intercontinental playoff against the fourth best CONCACAF team in November 2013 for a place at the 2014 World Cup.

New Zealand Football Chief Executive Grant McKavanagh hailed the agreement as great news for All Whites fans.

Weve had a good meeting of the minds with Sky and weve come to an agreement over the value of, and interest in, the All Whites on the Road to Brazil, said McKavanagh.

The most pleasing aspect is that weve got a longer term arrangement which give us and football fans a degree of certainty.

Theres no substitute for being at a game and well take games around the country to give as many fans as possible that chance over the next two years. However, the agreement with Sky is great news for fans who cant watch their national team in person.

New Zealand Football has retained rights to on-sell coverage in overseas territories and has also retained off-shore internet streaming rights.

or any Nations Cup games? That's a bummer. I certainly remember watching a bunch of crappy looking games out of the islands last time. Was hoping for more of the same.

Is it possible NZF don't have the right to sell the TV rights for away games?

Sky are not showing the game between GCU and CCM tomorrow night, but are showing every game this weekend live, despite the return of Super Rugby and other international cricket games being on. I think SKY deserve a for this, I was expecting them to delay every game except the Nix because of other programming.

Yes that is good and should be commended.  But why are they not showing CCM v GCU, there is nothing on sky sport 3 that is live and they would have had the rights to show the game originally.

Big test will be in 2 weeks, when the NRL starts back up as well.

If I recall correctly, they wern't going to be showing the game live at its original fixtured time either. That shouldn't have much effect on whether they show it now or not.

nothing Sky can do about it but it still pisses me off that they are showing a replay of CSKA v Real on ESPN this morning instead of Chelsea v Napoli live

ESPN constantly do that, its bloody annoying. Especially if you get up early for a game they have scheduled only to find its not on.

Allegedly

You can go on www.uefa.com and live stream Champs League games for $10 per game. Good for those of us without Sky.

Anyone know if 3kings bar show anyof these games...or is it too early in the morning for them?

Sky don't seem to get told about changes in the ESPN schedule in time to update their listings. I've found the following site useful for checking for more up to date listings:
http://intltv.espn.com/on_air/tv_listings

The Pacific Rim listings seem to be right once you get to the day before broadcast.
