Boom. Now we just need SKY to change the delayed Phoenix coverage at 7pm to LIVE coverage of the Sydney vs Roar game and the world will be a better place.

The Sydney v Roar game is played at 7 and not on Sky until 11.50, if NZ continue to fold in the cricket and we have Phoenix live will we also have the Roar game live?

I want to watch it on TV live with a beer...i have 3 lucrative multi bets finishing on that game and it won't be the same on fuzzy streams

They should change the 7pm delayed Phoenix coverage to live Roar coverage, as they already have the timeslot reserved for football. Doesn't neccesarily mean they will use their brains and do it though.

Its football highlights and fishing on after our live game on Sky Sports 2, would make more sense to put the Roar on after that, and keep the delayed coverage on Sky Sports 3 for those who had planned to watch then.

They aren't putting Roar on live even though there is nothing else on, have rung them

Disagree, some people would have fixed there schedule today around the nix being on at 7pm, and won't find out/be able to change if they don't show it then too.

Correct. Also Series Link didn't pick up the schedule change and still has the original 7pm slot booked.

Umm... Hope those of you with videos booked for 7pm like watching golf?

Now live on SS2 at 5pm and delayed SS3 at 10pm.

Oh... and Roar still 11.50pm.

If they are not still showing it delayed at 7pm that's a joke.

There will be a lot of people at home right now who just haven't heard about this and will sit down at 7pm only to realise that:

a) the game's not on
b) they didn't record it when it was on, and
c) they have to wait until 10pm to watch it delayed

Will probably be a few turn up at 4 Kings at 7pm also.

Just watch this forum light up at 7pm with angry Nix fans!

Oh... and Roar now at 7pm straight afterwards on SS2 also.

Fixed... Honestly every time I bring up the EPG it's changed again.

Edit: Oh... and Oz need 19 to win so it'll probably all change again in 20 minutes.

Gahhh!!! Should have checked the thread before flicking on the telly. Had MySky scheduled to start recording the delayed 7pm game, switched the tv on just after 7pm to see the score at 0-1 Heart in 5mins of overtime in the 2nd half! :/

But seriously Sky was in a no-win position from the outset here.

FTR as much as I love the 'Nix it surely was the right call to play the national golf, hockey, and cricket ahead of the Nix game. But they should have at least some contingency plan to use another channel or iSky for such things in future? I guess it's not cost effective.

Try this sh*t with the All Whites though and there will be hell to pay.

Golf *yawn*
Why don't they just create a golf channel and be done with it, so I don't have to flick through it all the time. And cut it from the highlights channel as well....
Rant over.

I didn't watch the golf nor have I watched any golf for some time. But equally football bores many NZers to death.

Of course that's why some NZers do like watching golf, hockey, cricket, netball, basketball, and any other non-football code.

Meh, any real NZer would be too busy pig hunting and building stuff out of No.8 wire to be bothered with all that poncey telly nonsense

Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

Oh, well I do that too (pig hunting - as long as it counts as hearing them up the bank and then calling the council).

Well that ruins the day I had planned. It's all very well that the FFA markets it as a 'marathon' day to try and pull new fans, but Sky have just ruined their marketing in NZ. Another fail from Sky. I hope the HRV is rained off.

Im going to stick up for Sky on this one.

Surely its fair that the other games are being played delayed.
Their Audience is in New Zealand and im sure that they would be more focused on showing the HRV cup instead of A-League games live.
The FFA has marketed it as a marathon day to their Australian viewiers on Fox Sports. The idea would be to promote teams to viewers in Australia, because they are the ones who would go out and go to the games after viewing them. Not us. After all. The FFA will make their money back from people who walk through the gates.
Its the same here, SKY show the Nix game live in New Zealand to an New Zealans audience.

Kiwi sport over Aus sport. Although they have f**ked up in the past with Nix games.

Although its annoying, it makes sense if you really think about it.

Very good point Stefan. But for times like these, surely they could set up the highlights channel so that it can show live sport when all the other channels are full?

Out of interest - what sort of SKY coverage do the following get?

- NRL matches not featuring the Warriors

- NBL matches not featuring the Breakers

Times like this. SkyTV should pull their thumb out their arse and setup ISky to show LIVE streams of sport they can't broadcast.

At the moment they have ISky setup to relay what ever is broadcast. Should set it up to stream sport when they run out of channels for LIVE sport.
