Sky Stadium Carparking

Have thought about posting this for sometime but chose not to. However after arriving to park at the stadium on Saturday and seeing casuals were being asked to pay $37 its time for everyone to say enough is enough.
I realize to some of you this subject dosnt matter and your not interested if thats the case just ignore this thread and whats being asked.

So on Saturday nite at the Rugby NPC fans were paying $24 or if they brought on line $17. Sunday and for the Phoenix its $37 or if your a club member and purchase before arriving $24.
Nothing about that is fair and it seems no one is interested in speaking up and advocating for Phoenix fans so its time we did it for ourselves.

If you park at the stadium and are upset about what you are being made to pay can i suggest just to start with everytime Sky Stadium post across social media you post and call them out and ask for a fair deal for Phoenix fans.
Thoroughly sick of the BS excuses they give for it fact of the matter is they are ripping off Football fans while at the same time giving Rugby fans a much lower price.

Yes realise we dont have to park there but for some parking elsewhere and walking a distance just isnt an option.
Yep realise the chances of success are small as the Stadium Trust dont give ashark but if dont speak up you dont stand a chance.

Well there's a derby coming up... perfect time to show a banner to protest those prices. It's common in Europe. A few years ago Bayern fans united to protest ticket prices charged at Arsenals CL games

I sent a message to Sky Stadium a few days ago but have yet to receive a response.  Guess I'll be sending another message.

If they do answer will be the same old BS. NPC final this weekend and despite it being the final they still get cheap parking $17 if pre booked or $24.
Bloody disgrace how Phoenix fans are being treated by the stadium and they use the supply and demand BS as an excuse.

If you are able to walk a few minutes I'd just park in the Stout Street carpark instead. That's where I usually go for a stadium event. $8 for weekend, or after 5pm on a weekday and it's virtually across the road from the train station.

It's usually where I park or in this area, but that's not really the point. The issue is the disparity between the pricing offered.

Absolutely. I guess the only way we can do anything about it is vote with our feet and park elsewhere. They probably won't worry too much about a handful of emails.
Other advantage of parking elsewhere like Stout Street is getting out much quicker. Don't know what it's like for a Phoenix game as have never parked at the stadium for one,  but did for the for the Ed Sheeran concert - weeknight and a sellout so figured it was safer to have a confirmed carpark booked rather than find other options already full when we got there. They held everyone in the carpark until all the people on foot were out so we ended up having to sit in the car for nearly 2 hours afterwards. Probably not like that for a Phoenix game with a much smaller crowd though.

Jesus. Wasn't going to see Ed Sheeran torture enough?

This is a great shout for those who are able, but I think Steve and others are mainly concerned about what the pricing means for people with accessibility needs.

That and also those who have travelled some distance to attend games we regularly have people driving 2/3/4 hours to attend games. Just wrong the money the Stadium sucks out them while giving those attending NPC games special prices.  Yet despite raising it no ones seems to give ashark

Someone needs to stand outside for 2 hours before each game with a big sign explaining to punters how they are getting shafted for being a football fan and are they happy with that.

Or think up some racism/homophobia type word to describe hating on particular sports supporters and take them to court for discrimination.

So what they are saying is that they offer a discount for the NPC because they want to encourage people to go, but they don't offer a discount for Phoenix games because they don't want people to go?

They want to make as much money as possible. They know the demand is already there for the Nix so they up the price. For the NPC they drop the price to try and increase demand, finding the equilibrium.

It’s a basic economic principle, just unfortunately one that treats loyal customers poorly.

at least they answered, but it's still a shark response.

Everyone should pay the same price, end of story.

Same service, same location, same price. Everything else is essentially a kind of discrimination.

As said earlier in the thread,  the only thing anyone can do about it is vote with their feet and park in one of the other cheaper nearby options if they are able to walk a few more minutes (appreciate not practical for everyone).  They'll review it if people stop paying it.

Stop parking there if you can. Plenty of cheaper options close to the stadium. And watch them drop the prices immediately. I understand this isn't possible for some people, but realistically a vast majority could forego the added convenience for cheaper prices, hopefully resulting in the cost dropping over time too
