5 or 1 Some of the guest taps that Garage puts on from other local breweries are pretty good.

Cider available at the mezzanine bar - IIRC, not on tap.

When I was a student I went for a tour of the Tui Brewery, it was stopped because someone jumped into a vat of Iodine that was being used to clean the equipment thinking it was a vat of beer.

None of them as the costs are  exorbitant.

alcohol percentage isn't the only thing that matters though, especially at the stadium because you'd need to spend a hundo to even get a buzz with those prices. I just like the taste

It's still a beer, and it tastes a sharkload better than Export 33 used to taste!

Seriously, I remember when I used to use my maths skills to multiply alcohol percentage by volume and divide by price to get Wasted Most Efficiently, but then I grew up and I drink for the taste now. I'll drink no-alcohol beer if it tastes better (spoiler: it doesn't.)

Export 33. The "beer" that tastes like the Phoenix play!

Export 33 is a reflection of the stadium trust and their constant efforts to charge the Nix an over the top obscene amount of money but subsidise other sports with cheaper rates. I believed this happened at certain 7's events. Hence the mark up of stadium food and drink to claw it back and when the event was over, keep those prices there to rip off Nix attendees. Annoying especially when a certain other sport has so much money they could open their own credit card/bank.

Think you may be wrong LG wernt Export 33 a sleeve sponsor or something.Dont get some of the beer snobs its worse than wine snobs at times.Frankly some of the prices asked for some of the rubbish thats on sale makes you think people are  buy more because of price than actual taste.

Bring back Tommo and his Tui hat to the zone get some of that old time vibe back and get rid of the beer snobbery.

It's not snobbery to like quality. There's plenty of bad craft beer but that's not garage project.

Think Ballane is right and export 33 were a sponsor.

Also I believe spotless get the F&B revenue, not the stadium.

Most defiantly is when its used to put down others choice drink because its perceived by some to be not as good as a craft beer.

Taste is purely a personal thing. People like Ryan might be surprised that people still drink Lion Brown in Quart Bottles. Very few bars would say Craft beer is their livelihood. Some like the taste of Tui. Some shark themselves at the price of Moa.

To deride that choice is , absolutely snobbery

I was drinking Lion Brown yesterday ironically so I don't really see your point, sometimes all you feel like is a classic kiwi draught.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure the stadium still serves generic stadium beer from the spotless booths if you don't want Garage Project.

It's great that we have choice, and it's great that we have a distinctly Wellington sponsor for the team.

Yeh, there is definitely craft beer snobbery.  But also you can say some beer tastes better than others to most people.

Decent cold lager on a hot day gets the job done.

Can't stand most of the new Monteiths stuff myself.

I guess it is can be the same with sound quality: I much prefer lps through wooden case speakers to digital cos that's what I grew up with.

However with beer Im glad not to be drinking export,  flame,  ranfurly, haagen or nz lager.

Don't mind a Speights or Old dark now and again though.

And had some fantastic Garage Project sessions in the last few years

Export 33 is probably my favorite mainstream beer as it's low carb content makes it tastes a lot less sweeter than other Kiwi beers. There's a few Brits that like it as they find most Kiwi beers to sickly.

the other thing with crafties is they are often smaller local breweries, so a bit of tie in there

I asked the guy once at the bar up by the zone if I could have a Dicken's Cider and he said they didn't stock it, so I asked for a Cummin's Cider and they didn't have that either. I don't usually drink because I'm driving but I was in the mood for just one cold cider.
