It's great that the Sunday games aren't too late.
I've got three youngsters that love going to the games but were concerned that they were going to miss out if they started too late and had school the next day.
Good on ya Tony Pignata for pushing the case for the 'Yellow Fever kids'.

Yeah hopefully it will boost the numbers at the games if whole families will turn up instead of perhaps just dad

I would prefer a 3am start so I can come straight from Courtney Place. Something to consider

I see theres games on Sundays at 5, 6 and 7pm.
I personally dont like the 5pm games but than my kids are college age. We often have sports on Sundays so 5pm kick offs are a real pain for us. 6pm would be way better and we would still be home by 8.30.
You cant please everyone.

sunday games a real pain in the butt for out of towners. Wouldn't be supprised if crowd numbers drop for these games.

i still think a friday night and saturday night game would get a bigger crowd except for maybe a nice sunday afternoon, but who knows.

Friday and Saturday nights. Anything else puts a downer on the atmosphere

Yeah i'd come down from Auckland a lot more if there were fri/sat night games.

Having so many sunday games is pretty stupid. Should of just had half the games on a sunday maximum

i like the sunday games, and i reckon it help boost crowd numbers. We may lose a few Saturday drunks, but family nos should be well up.

I'm really not a fan, as it plays hell with my regular sunday plans. While I think Sunday games are a good idea, I'd like to have seen a more sensible ratio.

Sunday games are a pain for me, means staying on the Sunday night and taking the Monday off work. Basically because I am far too sociable a chap to head back up North immediately after the game..
Apparently I'm apathetic, but I couldn't care less.

A lot of the Sundays are due to NPC games on sat/Fridays on the same weekend. this happens at least 3 occasions during the season where there are 2 games at the stadium in a row.

Most of the Sunday games are 5pm so its not too bad for travelling back for us out of towners. Better than Friday nights where you have to take time off to travel.

I personally preferred the Saturday evening games, although it was a push getting to them if cricket runs late.... theprof2008-07-21 13:42:33

I hope that doesn't mean that the pitch will be cut up for our games.

Happened a number of times last season as well without too much impact.

Yeah you're right. There was a few bobbly bits in the pitch on Sunday, and it looked a bit patchy. No doubt the groundsmen will have it looking sharper once winter has gone.
