if you have a  freeview box at home i am pretty sure you can watch it on the sports channel that they usually show the v8's on.they had the all whites game last week and said on that you could watch sydney play the galaxy live on freeview,i think it is on at 10.30pm.not sure what day though either tuesday or wednesday night.

yea im pretty sure its on live n freeveiw and then a replay later on chanel one.

Surely not if u get events others dont have or u get crap reception like we do...TV 1 is virtually not viewable if we have the PCXon in the house!...not that I have freeview yet.

TVNZ have the telecast rights from C10. Not sure when they are showing the game but will confirm and let you know.

I agree what a crock - buy a box for $200 and what the stuff we'd normally broadcast on 1!!!
Where is sky in all this, they got ripped by TV 3 with the World Cup and now they're not fighting for the football. I feel a letter of complaint coming up!!!

In defence of free view, if you dont get a good analogue signal then free view or sky is the way to go. and the one off payment for free view is cheaper than the monthly fee for sky over a period of time, probably less than a year.

Had a quick look through tvnz's programme schedule online and didn't see the galaxy/sydney game with delayed coverage.

in light of the Visa banners disappearing from the AW game, interesting to note the following;

"Not to wear or otherwise display commercial, political or other offensive signage or logos;"

I asked around a few bars, nobody in Wellington is showing it tonight.
Not Backbencher, home of the Fever.
Not Establishment, official bar of the Phoenix.
And not the Wellington Sports cafe either ...

Just called them, and they'll be closing around 10, too early for the game.
All of the other bars will be closed before the game is finished.

Wish I had some friends with Freeview!

Looks to be a couple of Asian channels there although I'm sure one of the 4 will be streaming in English.

f**k I hate TVNZ freeview, seriously how many people will miss out on watching this game so they can promote their bloody new platform.  All sport should be on pay tv where it can be repeated ad nauseum throughout the following week.
