Looks like Kwasnik was wearing the captain's armband? Or is that yellow band a tribute to the fever?

It was Durante who got fouled in the box for the penalty not Kwasnik

At least you're taking ownership, this is way better than the competition. I think at the end of the day we just want some coverage that recognises the growth and effect that the Nix is having on the game in NZ.

Remember guys, the news is NEW. By the time we managed to get hold of that footage, and when the news went to air last night, the game was nearly 48 hours old ... you can't put that on the NEWS.

It did make it onto Sports Tonight, and I will have a preview tonight which will include vision of the game.

As mentioned above, surely you could have made metion of the result ion the Sunday News, then put pictures on Monday, a win from the All Blacks gets put on as the first item, in fsact so does a loss - fairs fair, we've made it inot the final and theres been no coverage/mention of it on the 6pm news - how is the average joe meant ot see/hear about it.

I wasn't working on Sunday, so it was difficult for me to push the barrow on this one.

It deserved a place on Sunday, but remember television needs pictures. We didn't get them until Monday ... without pictures it's impossible to make a television story.

The curling story had been pre-organised and pre-shot ... that's why it goes in the bulletin.

Look at the end of the day, I do my best to get football and the Phoenix on air ... sorry we 'let you down' this time.

Tks for the explanations, the bit about the pictures not arriving till Monday puts it in context.  Appreciate your efforts in pushing the barrow uphill

Leo scored a diss-allowed goal. Asked him about it today. He said " The ref was a cheat, he called it for offside but it wasent close"

Thanks Gourdie  your efforts are appreciated, unfortunately many on here seem to think  we should be leading the news and on every  nite  as well. Our time will come but it seems some want it all know.

or - hopefully they are saving the footage for a bit of a splurge - with interviews etc to preview the game tomorrow night!!!

Let's hope Gourdie and his colleagues can meet our expectations (as they usually do!!)

and yep if TV1 have the nouse to do  apreview I'll be impressed with them too

I appreciate your efforts Gourdie, and kinda thought you and your colleagues would be doing a preview - I'm stoked that you guys continue to deliver the goods!

Ballane, I'm just out for every second of coverage possible for the Nix, and i do appreciate the fact that tv3 continually out performs tv1

- i hope that by requesting/expecting coverage from both channels that we will continue to get growing coverage from tv3 and at least a bit of a catch up effort from tv1 ... the squeaky wheel and all that

TV3 had  a good piece on the sports new tonight. Hopefully be on their videobank some time

Tv one had zero - unless you count the Bill Shankly quote the nz reporter used when talking about Toulon rugby club, but changing the "football is more important than life and death" quote to "rugby is more.." Massive uppercut tv1 - you suck

Nope.  They get their facts wrong also.  Murray Deaker was adamant SBW was a Maori tonight.  NZ's leading radio sport broadcaster indeed.
