Looking at Saturday's schedule is it even going to be broadcast live on Sky?
cos they'll have to bump a league game and hope the cricket finishes early...

Cricket should finish by 10, but if there is some rain interruptions, we could be doomed. We'll certainly miss the pre-match build-up.

Rugby and Cricket will get the placements..

In the SST they had figures. Perth v Phoenix got 49k viewers while the T20 hit 180k and rugby 200k plus.

Stick it on the paraolympic channels?

ive got a song that wont take long, Adelaide are rubbish.. the second verse is same as the first.. ADELAIDE ARE RUBBISH

I hope I can watch this.  A cousin's engagement party which starts in the afternoon that day makes it possible but also unlikely.

Well done Stefan on the flags.....we need to see them in Sydney, send them away!
Would really cement a presence there, would like to think we can get 500? That would be very
vocal and would look forward to hearing the chants on tv!

A bit off topic but why did the away goal rule apply in extra time for the Syd/Melb game? Is it because the Prem side always has home advantage in the second leg?

No, it's always been like that. Sydney got to choose where they played first I think. The away goal rule in ET has been around for years.

Sydney did not get to choose. Did you ever read how the finals work?
If Melbourne had won the minor premiership Melbourne would have got a home advantage for the second leg.

thanks Stefan. I just wonder if the away goals rule shouldnt apply for extra time, what do you think?

I don't think that it should.
It does seem very unfair for the home team that the away team can get another 30 mins to get that away goal.
But. Sydney did know what needed to be done in the first leg and that there was a possibility of the game going into extra time.

Im not sure if going to penalties would be the best idea either though.Stefan2010-03-08 13:55:03

It's a tough one eh. Melbourne knew what was needed as well, plus with knowing that if it did go to extra time they had another good chance.

Unless the FFA have changed the rules, teams have always been able to choose whether they played at home week one or two if they finished top of the ladder.

Apparently Melbourne were going to play Thursday night week one had they won the right to choose the order...

Yes I did, did you?

Teams 1 & 2 will play-off over two (2) legs, with the winner, based on aggregate score, advancing to the Hyundai A-League 2010 Grand Final.

The team who finishes in first (1

st) position at the conclusion of the Regular Season can nominate their preference to play the first (1st) leg of their Semi Finals either at home or away, subject to venue availability and FFA approval.

Back on topic now lads.

                     Reddy
Hearfield Dura Siggy/McKain Locky
        Moosecat Brownie Vinny
             Ifill Greeny Bertos

Bench:
Crowther
Siggy/McKain
Caceras/Diego
Dadi
Daniel

Can't decide beween McKain and Siggy. Both have been immense but might lean towards McKain. Dieog in if Caceras is still away.

Its no longer a problem.

Mckain for me. Though Siggy was still rusty and unconvincing COMPARED to Mckain. We look so damn good at the back with Mckain and Durrante. Nothing against Siggy of course, just been out of the game too long for mine.

There is a couple of threads with people expressing interest or angst at how expensive it is.

The tour thread in the wellington phoenix forum. http://www.yellowfever.co.nz/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=12336

and the "who is coming" thread in the dangerous Liasons forum

. Definetly hoping to make it over though!

Get a one-way ticket, and if we go through you can sleep on a park bench for a week, hitchhike to Melbourne, and come home after the GF.
