I have one, use it for $1 Premier League and ITM Cup multis because it gets tedious filling out the slips for 8+ legs.
Other than that when I bet, it's no more than $5 a weekend over a few options in $1 and $2 values, which I do via betting slip.

Had a work do at the races yesterday actually. Had 2 punters in the group that did the worst out of everybody. A gambling addiction is a terrible thing but a little dabble here and there can be a bit of fun. Yesterday, half a day drinking, buffet lunch, a band, some good looking fillies to look at (all ages) load of fun, bet on every race (maybe average of 5 bucks a pop) and it cost me about me about $30 taking into account losses and winnings. Great value and if YF can generate some fun around the sponsorship then it will be something good.
Just noticed the TAB odds are up for the weekend:
https://www.tab.co.nz/sport/#game/124567/1/wellington-phoenix-v-brisbane
Plus some nix season options but odds not tempting enough for me
| 1 | Make Final | 8.00 | |
| 2 | Don't Make Final | 1.05 | |
| 3 | Make Play-offs | 1.70 | |
| 4 | Don't Make Playoffs | 2.05 | |
| 5 | Positive Goal Difference | 1.95 | |
| 6 | Negative Goal Difference | 1.75 | |
| 7 | Brockie Top Scorer | 2.00 | |
| 8 | Brockie Not Top Scorer | 1.75 |
The odds for season long bets are never worth the time invested imo. I'm looking at the $4.40 for the Jets atm, quite tempting when you see Sydney's injury list.
AW at $1.25 not to qualify for World Cup.
Just got on Panama and Mexico to draw at $4.25.
Some good value in here too. https://www.tab.co.nz/sport/#game/124567/1/wellington-phoenix-v-brisbane

As much as easy money the "not to make final" would probably be, I can put the money into savings earning 4% instead of earning 5% on the bet - without the risk of a miracle happening, us making the final, and me losing my life savings.
Way too low.

I've emotionally hedged to the hilt by backing us not to qualify for the World Cup, but now the bookies have launched this and I'm wondering if 1.11 on Mexico to be our qualifying opponents is generous. Seems all but certain. Thoughts?

Yeah, I might have been overstating things. My "emotionally hedged to the hilt" is closer to $10 than $10000....It's closer to $10 than $15.
That's worth a crisp $20 if we were not going to play a football game in a lunatic asylum...
That aside, had we been playing anywhere else without the barking moonbats, I fancy our chances.
I've got a Karearea that says "take me, I'm yours"
Had a tenner on Panama to qualify, even though I thought Mexico were a shoo-in. Feck.
Yikes, this weekend a $10 multi on all the favourites plus the Phoenix would pay ~$1500.
That $7.50 for the Phoenix to win looks very tempting, especially if the away games woes have disappeared under Ernie.
I don't normally bet on the Phoenix games, but might have to get in on that.
You'd have to think Ernie would be far more equipped to operate in Australia, 7.50 seems absurd. 2.60 with a half goal handicap.
Reckon Melbourne Victory might be worth a nudge tonight, paying $3
Went 3.5+ goals in tonight's game. Both sides missing starting CBs
